Paramount Times Square – A Generator Hotel

2/10 Terrible

"Desperately in need of renovation! No bottled water (particularly for taking meds) or coffee in the room and no washcloth in the bathroom, a small ACRYLIC desk and chair at THIS price (more than $400 per night). Lighting was so dark in lobby and hallways it felt like the haunted house. Will never, ever, ever book this again. EVER! And I do mean never again…..not even for free!"

"The room was quite small, which would have been manageable on its own. However, the bathroom layout was very uncomfortablem as it was essentially open to the room with only a sliding door that had noticeable gaps, so any odors spread throughout the entire space. There was also no proper ventilation. On top of that, the AC broke down twice during our stay, making the room extremely hot and stuffy during peak New York summer heat. Overall, the experience was disappointing and far below expectations."

"First the tub was draining super slow when taking a shower, called maintenance and they said everything was fine, he put some solution but it didn’t do anything, back to standing slow water. Then there was a leak in the ac unit so we had to move rooms because the carpet was wet and I almost slipped a few times going in the bathroom. Then we get to the new room and the water was splashing everywhere from the faucet in the bathroom. Then at night time there was a party next door and I had to call 4 times to get someone to come in my room and listen to the noise next door at 1:30 in the morning because maintenance guy said there was no noise when he listened outside the room. Had to get up and get dressed so he can come in our suite and listen to the noise. Few minutes after 3 guys were escorted out. It ruined my sleep, only slept 3 hours. We checked out and the front lady said she will let the manager know of my complaints but I still haven’t received a call back."

"The hotel is at a great location. The amenities are great. The food at the morning buffet is very good. However, the room was super small. Smaller than a cruise ship. Suggest you adopt some of their space saving tactics. Make the bed raised so suitcases can fit underneath. Their remodel was ongoing in the lobby. The lobby was well organized"
