「Lovely an clean room and hotel, friendly staff and a warm welcome. I was down for family funeral an i droped my car off early then used the late check in at 10pm with no problem. Cant comment on breakfast as i overslept.. But a great we place to stay.」

「Outside needs updating but honestly it was perfect for our overnight trip to the theatre. Comfortable, clean and very quiet so had a good night sleep. Short taxi ride to the theatre.」

「This is certainly not a place you will stumble across on your way to somewhere else, but it's certainly worth a visit. A great boutique hotel with comfortable and interesting rooms. Great surroundings and wonderful view across the Wirral. A menu which is significantly more interesting than the standard 'pub menu'. The prawn pil pil was particularly tasty. And if you're into non-meat meals, the pithivier is well worth a try. Very tasty breakfast too. We'll definitely be back!」

「A nice little overnighter with friends at the Wheatsheaf. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had our evening meal at the Thai restaurant next door which was amazing. We did see some plates coming out before leaving and the food at the hotel looked good too. Our room (superior)was nicely done, lovely fluffy towels and a great size shower. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. My only reason for downgrading the amenities was because there was no lift. We would go back though」
