"This is NOT a resort. This is a motel, the rooms have not been updated this the 60s. The walls and roof were falling down. Stains all over the mattress. Extremely noisy, with insects and birds. Worst of all the bathroom was unenterable due to the rancid stench and mold. Please save yourself and do not book here."

"We arrived late at night post checking out the night night market at Surat Thani as check in available until 23.45 :) Please be awake: black elephant boutique and 88 fine hotel are combined. We booked a room in 88 fine hotel and was expecting to sleep in one of the detached rooms as per photos in the booking- however we stayed on the second floor of the black elephant boutique.
