It is a vibrant and safe neighborhood by Georgia Avenue, within walking distance to grocery stores and shopping centers. It is a 6-minute walk to the bus station, close to downtown DC, and minutes by bus to Silver Spring downtown MD. There are surrounding restaurants and movie theaters.

Overall it was clean. The kitchenette had basic/appropriate supplies. The pull out couch was old and small; it was not ready to be used. Minor adjustment had to be made to use it. The space overall is very small. The host was readily available and pleasant.

The hostess was welcoming, she responded to my messages, and answered most of the questions. We did not see hostess, we entered the premises with a four-digit key code, which was sent via a message in plenty of time before our arrival. The unit was smaller than the online description implied. It would NOT be adequate for more than two people if they stay multiple days. The unit does not have a kitchenette! It does have a coffee maker, a toaster, a microwave, and a mini-refrigerator. Also it had plenty of coffee K-Cups and insulated paper cups and plastic ware and paper plates and sugar and substitute sugar and creamer packets. The location to downtown DC was about 6 miles and that was a plus!! After entering through the outside gate anyone 6 ft or taller should duck slightly underneath the overhead deck. The parking is on Sheridan Street. We had the basement unit, and only occasionally heard overhead movement or footsteps from the other unit.

Quaint Stay

Great 5 night stay. Property as described. Clean and easy check in. Parking on street. Neighborhood seemed safe or safe enough. Georgia Ave after 10 pm is a little sketchy (we walked to the Domino's and outside of it was a zombie drugged out person). That happens in many big city main streets. During the evenings we walked around the neighborhood and had no problems. Downtown DC is only around 5 miles away, around 28-35 minutes. We didn't have any interactions with the owners. Property was clean and maintained. Parking was right on the street and we didn't seem to have any issues getting a spot. The queen bed was comfy but the pillows could have had one more and a different comfort variety. Maybe an additional blanket. The little couch for big enough for us two but could have been a little more comfortable. The TV was big but could have been on a swivel for watching in bed. These aren't complaints but specifics for helpful critiques. I would stay there again and maybe will on our next visit. We are thankful for this being a trustworthy listing.
