"Our original lodging became unavailable to to an unforeseen circumstance. The staff at Manitou Lodge were so helpful and accommodating. We ended up staying in the lodge and had a blast. "The Lodge is lovely and is much cozier than the photos showed. It's so well equipped with games, books, huge fireplace, comfy couches and native blankets to wrap up in if desired, interesting artifacts in a very quiet forest location. Our room, Sacajewa, was very nice, just as the photo's showed. My only suggestion would be to confirm a day ahead that the code to the lodge and room would be left for you and the bedding for the couch if you asked for it and the remote for the fireplace work. "The property is charming, cozy and well maintained. The surrounding areas are beautiful and quiet. This is a good base for visiting the Olympic National park . Also the hosts are easy to communicate and accommodating."

"I happened to book this hotel by chance. Our schedule was delayed and they were able to accommodate a change with no problem. The property was quiet, the room huge and comfy, the grounds beautiful. We walked down to the beach daily, enjoyed the hot tub, and the location to other things around town. The only bummer was our fire place only worked on the first evening and not the rest of the days there. If not for that I’d give it 5 stars. "

If you want to walk to the beach and knock yourself out in the rain digging your limit of clams and trudging back for beer and the freshest possible fried clams, then this it."
