Pros - Location. Friendly staff. £5 to park overnight giving receptionist car registration - car parked right outside and could see it through window. Comfy bed. Right next to amenities of services. Plenty of room for bags. Quiet. Cons - Filthy bathroom and communal doors. Not secure, anyone could have walked through reception and into corridors. A small fridge would have been helpful. Stayed in M40 north 2 nights prior and expected same standard, would not stay again.

It’s basic but it’s clean and convenient, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything worked and was in good condition, what more do you need? FYI, it costs £5 for parking.

The receptionist was really friendly and helpful, just what you want when arriving anywhere. She recommended where to eat in the evening and even wrote it down for us. The bathroom was an untidy but the shower was great, as were the shampoo etc. The amenities were all that we needed for a one night stay!

The room smelt like someone had been smoking in it. Overall it was reasonable for the money, might have been better if it hadn’t been so hot and the room smelling.

Easy stop off on a journey from north to south. Pleasant room With basic but good amenities. Comfy bed and good shower. Did not use WiFi so cannot comment on that. Fair choice of food places in service station although as many close at 8pm then try to arrive before then or it’s KFC only!! Best thing to comment on though was the very friendly, helpful and cheerful reception lady. She made you instantly welcome. Sadly don’t get her name but she is a great credit to the hotel. Will use again and thank you.

Where to start…. The bathroom had hairs all over it, the net curtains were hanging down, there was a hole (yes a rusted hole) in the bath. They produced a fan which was filthy. The window safety restrictors were broken. They charged £5 for parking because apparently they now do that if you book through a third party. Dreadful.
