Wine Estate on a Private Hill - Luxury with character for 15+
A spacious, two floor house on a private hill surrounded by vinyards with a barn and a garden. (See video on Y.Tube: hisa vina majski vrh)
Wine estate on a private hill secluded amongst the terraced vineyards in southern Styria
This is a stunning 100 year old wine estate that was lovingly renovated into a first class country house. This 12 acres estate includes a large villa with an oak barn to complete the rural picture. This is a luxury property brimming with Central European character. It is set in 14 acres of winding vines, still used to produce local white wines of regional repute. Entering through the double oak doors into the vast living area exposes the airy 60 sq m. living room that remains of double height with a wooden staircase hugging its edge and leading to a minstrel’s gallery. The double panoramic doors lead out to a furnished south facing decking area of 25sqm straddling over the vine terraces below. Wooden balconies run around the first floor offering exquisite views. With a mixture of original features, antique furniture and modern technology, this comfortable home can easily accommodate 2 or 3 families. The closest neighbor is 500m away, the nearest supermarket 5 minutes drive away.
Three large double bedrooms are furnished with antique pieces with their own character. All have wooden window shutters in the original local design. The master suite is on the ground floor. It has an original clay stove shared with the main bathroom. Its 2 large windows overlook the front courtyard. The other 2 main bedrooms are on the first floor. They are suites with ante rooms off which lie the bedroom in one direction and private bathroom in the other. In addition to the 2 windows in each room there are doors leading onto the balconies with views over the vineyards and neighboring hills. The 4th bedroom sleeps 4 people and is furnished with adult sized wooden bunk beds. Extra beds can be added in every room, two single beds can be arranged on the galery above the living room. There is a double sofabed in the living room for further sleeping capacity
The main bathroom is on the ground floor. It connects to the master bedroom and is laid with Italian stone tiles and mosaics. The sunken white corner bath is spacious. It overlooks the front courtyard. Down the corridor towards the living area is a self-contained lavatory. The 2 further bathrooms on the first floor lie within the 2 bedroom suites. They each comprise large walk-in showers.
The floors throughout the property are made of premier wood. The living and common areas boast antique oak floor or match the character of the house. The main doors and the doors into the cellar are heavy double oak doors. The wine cellars to the property have been lovingly restored. Amongst other facilities housed here are 2 travel cots, a high chair and child gates for tenants with small children. Two hammocks and 2 adult and 2 children's bicycles are available for the use. The property includes 12 acres of lawned gardens, vineyards, and forest.

Fantastic...
We enjoyed a fantastic 2 weeks in this beautifull estate. The location and the surroundings of the house are breathtaking. (the views, the silence, the stars at evening,...). There is so much to do and see in the region :Maribor, Ptuj, Celje, Jeruzalem, Ljublijana ,... .
The house is decorated with a great taste and well equipped for a 2 family-vacation. It was very clean on our day of arrival.
The owners are very helpfull. Thx

everything and more
If I could give 6 stars I would. We were very, very impressed, family of 8 adults. The drive up, the arrival, the wow factor kicked right in. There was not a single thing missed during our two week stay. In the house, around the house. We visited as much as we could, loved Ljubljana, Maribor and Ptuj. The wine tasting was also much fun. The only thing we thought could be a little less was the weather... 35 degrees Celsius is a bit hot for hikes. So thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful house.

A wonderful holiday in a beautiful house with an amazing view !
We stayed at Hisa Vina for two weeks. We had a wonderful time. The view on the terrace is amazing and there is absolutely enough place for two families. The house has everything you need, the rooms are big enough and even when it rains ( we did't see much of that ), the children could play easily inside. The house may not be located in the most touristic area of Slovenia, there are still a lot of things to visit nearby and a bit further away. We also loved Ljubljana very much ! Igor was very helpful if we needed something. The internet was rather slow, so we did't use it very much, and in fact that was't to bad after all... We are absolutely planning to go back there in a couple of years. It is a wonderful place !

Alles in allem sehr geschmackvoll.
Thank You IGOR- it was lovely. See You again!
