You will have completely private use of this 2-bedroom traditional Maltese townhouse and it's private roof top terrace. You will NOT share any parts of the house or outdoor spaces with anyone outside your group. The property is accessed from a private street entrance and comprises 3 floors. The house is located inside the walls of the Gozo Citadella fortress (a UNESCO world heritage site) which is a guarded site.

The most unique neighbourhood on the island! Our townhouse is located inside the world renowned Gozo Cittadella which is a site that originally dates back to the bronze ages and was reconstructed into a large castle complex by the Knights Templar in the 16th century. Today, the Cittadella is a UNESCO world heritage site and visited by hundreds of thousands of people per year. You will be staying in the only accommodation located inside the fortress and our guests can walk freely along the castle walls, through the narrow streets and even into the beautiful lower gardens in the ditch.
Our Cittadella townhouse is a truly unique property and it is important for guests to understand its advantages and disadvantages prior to booking. If you are looking for a memorable and adventurous experience while staying inside the walls of a breathtaking medieval fortress then this house is definitely for you! If you prefer a peaceful location with absolute quiet then I do recommend choosing a more rural property from our portfolio.
The church inside the Cittadella is one of the most important religious shrines on the island and the large bells will ring during the day to call the local residents to mass as well as celebrate important dates. There are cultural events inside the walls of the Cittadella throughout the year (guests will have a front row seat) which can also generate normal day time noise. Night time noise is limited to the soft clock bells which sound the time periodically. Due to the fact it is in a UNESCO world heritage site and deeply protected, we are not allowed to install uPVC apertures so the windows are traditional wooden framed single-pane glass with shutters. Light sleepers should consider bringing ear plugs if you intend to sleep late in the morning. The house has been fully modernized internally so that you can enjoy all the usual comforts of home. You will have direct access to the Cittadella right outside your front door and you are free to roam around the unrestricted areas of the fortress at anytime of day/night.

New Rate: €1.50 per adult (18+) per night
New Cap: Maximum €22.50 per adult per stay
For bookings made prior to July 1, 2026, for stays occurring on or after this date, the system may not automatically apply the updated government rate at the time of booking. In such cases, any difference between the previous rate (€0.50) and the new legal rate (€1.50) must be settled separately before or upon arrival.
By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge that the applicable tax is determined by the rate in effect during your stay, regardless of the booking date.
