"The lodge was great. Our room was clean and had a fridge, microwave and TV, which is more than other national parks. It was nice sitting on the balcony and watching the elk go by. The food court and pizza pub were awesome. Very good food at a reasonable price and lots of it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only a 5 minute walk to the rim, trails, shuttles and the other lodges."

"We chose a dog friendly room. Curtains/blinds good, mattresses ok bathroom another story. Faucet and handle hanging off wall. We pushed them in to turn on water and pull up handle to allow water to come out of shower head. Floor wasn’t cleaned, based on our socks. Employees including Larry not to blame. This room we paid for should’ve been remodeled. "

"The room was simple and small but met our needs, except that the sink did not drain. Only the trash was cleared on our second day — no bed making or other tidying. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, though pricy, and reservations far in advance are usually needed. The location is excellent and well worth the stay."
