Awesome location near great restaurants and fairly close to Seabus to get across water! Not the fanciest place but not listed as such.
Bathroom is on the humid side and lawn was so long hard to navigate and retrieve dog waste. Overall would stay again.
My husband, and I stayed for 3 nights. We also had our little dog with us. The cottage was clean, well equipped and cozy for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed mainly on the North Shore so the location was perfect. When we did go to Stanley Park and Granville Island it was a very easy drive.

It was tidy - but not clean. It was comfortable enough until we tried to sleep. The pull out sofa was uncomfortable even for my 100 lb child - he said he could feel the springs. The king size bed was quite uncomfortable as well, we ended up leaving early because we couldn't do another night. My husband barely slept because his back ached all night, and the motion transfer while we tried to get comfortable was worse than a waterbed. Communication with host was good, location and amenities were good, but overall I wouldn't stay here again.
Good location, very responsive owner. A little confusing as it is a lane house so you don’t see from road but a great stay was wonderful that my son could bring some of his pets, he might not have been able to get here otherwise
This was an affordable option for our stay in Vancouver. The location was perfect to drive to the ferry terminal, Stanley Park, and to visit the neighborhoods on our itinerary. The host was responsive when we had questions about checking in, and had a friendly chat when our pets met in the large, fenced shared yard. We appreciated the amenities like laundry, air conditioning, and cable. Little things that seem not so little when travelling!
This was my first time using VRBO and I have to say I was really impressed with the accuracy of the listing and accountability of the host - she was communicative, positive and a pleasure to deal with. The lane home being very clean and welcoming, a bit on the older side but very cozy and warm (North Van can get cold at night) not to mention being able to have my dog there with me with zero fuss from the host. Just an all round terrific experience which I will definitely repeat if the need arises. Thank you!
Well appointed Laneway house. Everything I needed was there and more. Love that pets were welcome, even my big black dog.
Little extras were included that were very thoughtful: Shampoo, soap, lotions, teas etc. A very helpful booklet was left with information included some tips on buses, restaurants etc.
Parking was a bit tight for my 4 runner in the back but it is North Vancouver so was happy I didn’t need to park on the street. Very clean, lots of extra blankets etc. I would stay there again. Very quaint and cosy. Lots of room for more than me and my dog. They really have thought of everything.. ❤️
I had a good stay, the bed was comfortable the place was a decent small lane home reasonably close to bus stops. I will warn the really close buss stops don’t run very late so you are likely to end up having to walk a few blocks up a hill if you end up out late but that’s fine. There is a parking spot out back in the alley that felt good and safe to leave our vehicle for the duration of the stay which was really nice to have. Wouldn’t be able to fit a truck in it but any SUVs and the like would fit nicely. The only caveats I have about the place is that it might be a bit tight if you have a larger group as the living room space where the fold out couch beds are is a little small for the max capacity but it was a great spot and for two people we each got beds that were decent and a bit of privacy. I gave a 4 star on cleanliness because when we arrived there were a fair amount of fruit flies in the kitchen area by the coffee machine but we couldn’t find anything gross or that looked like the cause of them and we weren’t planning to use the coffee maker so it wasn’t really a problem. Everything else was good and clean. Honestly for what you get and being where it is this place was an absolute bargain. Definitely recommend.

Comfortable if you are down for it
The place is fairly hard to find (though we did arrive in the dark) seeing as most of the signage is quite small. You have to kind of go through a persons yard from the front or just know what the property looks like from the back alley. Being that this is a nice neighborhood some people definitely looked at us a bit weirdly. Elvi was helpful and very responsive upon check in however.
The house itself is kind of a spare house or shed that they converted into a living space. It is fairly spacious, has all the amenities you need and all in all is really comfortable. It's also, pretty old and a bit run down. When we stayed there there was a good deal of mismatched paint, there was a wet patched up hole in the bedroom, and the toaster oven needed to be operated by shoving a provided spoon into the dial. This definitely didn't take away from the experience but it does remind you what you are paying for. The place is well thought out and you can tell care went into preparing the space. The guest book has what looks like a child's drawings and there's also stickers all over the walls which, while not the best looking, are really sweet and endearing.
I think this place captures the spirit of what VRBO or other apps may have been like before people started trying to make it really nice. In the guest book they write that its not a 5star hotel and shouldn't be reviewed as one so keep that in mind as you book. Only other thing is checkout instructions could have been clearer.
It was the perfect location for us and was the perfect size and layout for the 4 of us to stay comfortably. We used the seating area outside quite a bit and the dogs had free roam of the back yard. Thanks Elvi!

There was a really bad, musty, moldy smell. The coaches in the living room were incredibly uncomfortable. The location was convenient and it was nice that the Dog could be with us.
My family of 4 which includes 2 19 year olds stayed here for 3 nights. We were on a 2 week road trip and this gave us a chance to spread out and relax. There was plenty of room and even a little privacy as needed. Great location as it is a few blocks from the busy part of town, but close enough to get to the city and do what we wanted to do.
My wife and I stayed for 6 nights. The location was great, it was around a 15-minute walk to Lonsdale Quay, and several brew pubs and restaurants. From the Quay you can take the seabus to downtown Vancouver, for even more things to do. We took the sea walk out to the Aquarium. The host were very courteous. The pictures of the house are very accurate, and the place was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
Lovely time over Christmas (Dec 24-27) at this property! North Van is so much fun! Would def recommend!

Okay if you don’t really want air conditioning
This place was okay for our needs but it was hot when we were there and it’s listed as having air conditioning which we were looking forward to. There was only air conditioning in the bedroom which left the rest of the space uncomfortably hot even with the fans provided by the host. Was nice to have laundry available. This host also accused us of damage afterwards so I would fully document the condition when you leave to prevent this. Would not return to this property for that reason.

the only thing i would like to mention, is that this Lane property is actually in the back yard, and parking is in the alley behind the property.
but I would stay again
I came in for work and needed a place to stay close to Lonsdale. Bed was firm and comfortable, place was very clean and larger than expected. Glad to know they take dogs for future trips. I would stay again.
My only con would be that there could be better lighting and signage to the lane house. When I pulled up in my Uber, it was a guessing game which house it was and when you go through the gate, I had to use my iphone flashlight to find the path in the dark. There are quiet a few tripping hazards (bikes, housing materials, and uneven pavestones) so be mindful.
They had a very nice welcome book that you could tell they've put a lot of effort into. It was quite sweet.
