"We could not have had a better place to stay since we were trying to be close to family but did not know what to expect. Our suite was very clean, but could have used a few things like towel racks, some place to hang clothes in the bathroom while showering, paper towels, and wash clothes. The food was excellent for breakfast. The pool was so awesome with a charming atmosphere. But the staff was the best part. So caring and helpful. "What a special place to have stayed! The Pax Guest House is located atop Mount Saint Augustine in one of the nicest locations on Trinidad. Fantastic views from this well-preserved guesthouse that dates to 1925. Fantastic hosts manage this property. They are very helpful and reliable. The guesthouse provides a very delicious breakfast in the morning. Guests should be mindful however that bathroom facilities for some rooms (not all) are shared with other guests. "

The neighborhood did not seem safe, and there were no restaurants in close proximity, so a car is needed. Recommend for those not wanting to stay in Port of Spain. "Its not the first time I've stayed there (the Palms, Trinidad) i call it my 2nd home. Staff are amazingly friend. Room service is on point & the cleanliness is faultless. I would highly recommend. I staff for weeks at a time. There's plenty of delicious eateries around (minutes walk)
Although i love staying at the hotel the only disappointment I had was the restaurant, which has been taken over by Tropical Hand. I was not impressed with this company. There are 2 separate companies & i hope this does nit bring the hotel down"
