"Need friendly staff no one seemed happy to see us it was an overall good stay except no room service"

"I needed a safe and easily accessible place to stay while my kids attended Grad-nite at Universal. This was the place. It was in such close proximity that we didn’t even have to drive. The restaurant downstairs was super convenient. Having a Starbucks on the premises was a nice treat. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful with information. Valet staff was prompt and well organized. I didn’t use the hot tub or the pool but plenty of guests were using both in spite of the little breeze that picked up so it must’ve been nice. Finally, my room was spacious and well lit. I was on the 6th floor and my window faced Universal. It was just what I needed."

"I didn't know about this hotel up until I found it on Expedia. What I love about this hotel is the location, absolutely accessible to many restaurants and the I-5. We stayed here to watch a Dodger game and it was excellent driving to and from the stadium. The cafe has excellent pastries that we enjoyed grabbing in the mornings. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. One thing I did not like was seeing the trash and the litter left in the foyer and hallway. It's a nice hotel but sight of overflowing trash and random towels and sheets by the elevator is unsightly. Ultimately, I would stay here again if I book it directly from the hotel."

"This hotel is excellent if you want a real Hollywood experience. The location is right in the heart of it. The rooms are small but that is typical for hotels of this era. The lobby is a magnificent room where it is easy to have a group chat, sit and have a drink at the lobby bar (5pm-10pm) or just hang out. The beds and pillows were fabulous- some of the most comfortable bedding that I have experienced in a hotel. Be forewarned however- the $35/day resort feel and the $75/day valet parking fee will add an additional $100+ to the final bill."
