"It was relaxing. Love the animals. Serene location. Good country surroundings. Lovely and friendly children of the owners and of course owners are lovely too. We even got free dozen of eggs and a bottle of fresh milk. Very affordable accommodation. The list can go on. Just perfect for the family with children. "The house itself was unexpectedly good. It exceeded our expections. It was clean and they pretty much provided everything except the bedsheets had a noticeable odor. And the exterior property (front side) felt a bit unsafe and cluttered with scattered metal and debris. Apart from that, it was a good stay. Nice view at the fenced back with wallabies and goats. There was a heater which was very helpful during winter. And there was a fireplace on the side of the house but too bad we didn't have an axe or small firewoods to get it light up. It was a pet friendly, they even provided a bed for your little pooch."

"Convenient location, friendly staff (the lady at check-in was just the best), upgrade without asking, clean room with everything I needed, easy parking. Bed was great - warm and plenty of blankets. All in all, great value for money. It is only just off the main drag, but I had no issues with traffic noise, neighbours or other guests - in fact if I hadn't been told I would never have known about the markets directly across the road on the Sunday morning. The facility is showing its age a little but that is a comment only and doesn't result in any negatives on my 2-night stay. I would happily stay here again if and when I have the need to be in back in Stanthorpe."

"Lovely location. Very modern. Bed was so comfortable. Glenn was kind enough to help us light the outside fire. Fireplace inside was lovely and warm. Plenty of wood. We enjoyed our stay in Stanthorpe"

'Avalon' - Small group or family getaway

"The place we stayed in at Thulimbah, was ideally located about 10 min from Stanthorpe and 30min from Warick. It was very clean , had 3 Brms all with BIRs an open area lounge dining and kitchen. The house is fully equipped with all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils that anyone could need and it was easy to navigate around. There was a combustion fire for those cold nights and that certainly warmed up the interior quickly and it was very comfortable inside. There was a small book library and also a small dvd library.The property was fenced so our Jack Russell had plenty of space to do zoomies around the back yard. Teresa the property manager was very good and there was a cheese platter awaiting us on arrival. We certainly enjoyed our short stay and we would certainly go again for longer. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and stay there."

"The room was clean and inviting with lovely fresh bread and local apple juice. The fireplace was stacked and already burning, radiating warmth throughout the room. The grounds were stunning with friendly goats, fun games and lots of laughs and stories shared with happy staff and new friends met whilst tasting the delicious wines, not to forget a few pats with Max the ginger cat. A must stay, especially in the cooler months where you can enjoy breakfast on the deck, watching the fog lift up over the grape vines, as the sun slowly kisses in the sky."
