Huge crowds. Get there early in the day.
Plan on spending at least 3 hours there.
Hordes of tourists in October...a broken ticket machine made a miserable afternoon for the SKIP THE LINE TOUR. I wish we had skipped the tour.
One of the best museums we visited in Italy. Try to sort out the issue of tickets, lines, etc to enter the museum ahead of time, since entering museums even with pre-booked tickets can still be a hassle, and the multiple lines, ticket offices and procedures can be a mess at times.
Absolutely fabulous if you like art. The Rick Steves audio tour is timed for about 2 hours. We wanted to see more, so we skipped it and spent 5 hours going through everything. You still have to get a ticket even if you have a Firenze card and you MUST have a reservation now.
