Grad trip

We had a big celebration planned for our sons. Who both graduated from GSU. One with his masters and the other with his bachelor’s. We had two dinner parties on Friday night and one Saturday. We had tons of food in that we had prepared and the refrigerator when out a couple of days before our arrival date and still when we arrived we had a college dorm room size refrigerator. We had to buy coolers to try and keep the food. This was a very extreme inconvenience. As well as the elevator not working. We had our mothers who are both over 75. The elevator would have been very convenient. The house is beautiful and exactly what we needed bit the refrigerator situation put a damper on the occasion.

Fridge out of order

We received a text a couple hours before check-in advising the fridge was out of order. They brought two very small fridges and one never got cold so we didn’t get to cook at the house as planned because there wasn’t anywhere to store the food, so that was a bummer. The house has four floor and there is an elevator but of course it was conveniently out of order. Having use of the elevator would be nice since the kitchen is on the 2nd floor. I don’t think the listing described the floor plan, you walk in on the garage level, the 2nd floor has the master and two other bedrooms, the 3rd floor has the kitchen, living room and the fourth bedroom and the two single beds in the 5th bedroom are on the 5th floor.The house needs some updates, when we first got there and put something in the trash, which is located in the drawer beside the stove, the bottom of the stove fell off. Overall we made the best of it and had an amazing time.

Would stay again

Our stay consisted of 9 of us and it was more than enough room. I loved that it was close to the beach. The elevator was out but that was a minor inconvenience. We could not get the TV in the master bedroom to work but we didn’t spend much time there so it was fine. I would suggest that the cleaners pay just a little more attention to the property because there were a few things that could have used more care. Overall we were pleased with our stay and would stay again.

Nice layout and easy beach access. Some cleanliness concerns.

This home is easy to get to, nicely located on the island, has convenient beach access, and has a nice layout for families. However, we had a clogged sink drain upon arrival (could visibly see the clog - hair and such), broken blinds in one room, and there was visible dirt/grime in a few places (ie - on the back/top of the dining chairs, surrounding several door handles and cabinet pulls). Two of the showers are very small as well. The rental company did respond very quickly to my maintenance request on the sink and blinds, which was much appreciated.

Friends Getaway

The house was as described on the website. It was clean, spacious (8 women)and had all the ammenities we needed. The project manager(s) were great to work with. They responded immediately to any request we had. The elevator was a plus especially for those with knee problems. Great location to the beach. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great place with awesome views!

The place was beautiful! All the items were provided and the property was super clean. It was awesome to have an elevator in the townhome with 3 floors! Super easy to check in and check out. Communication was great as well.

Perfect for large groups

We had an amazing time! Our Girl Scout troop chose Tybee as their end of the season getaway. It was better than described and much nicer in person. More than enough room for our group of 11 people! The rooms were large and spacious, the balconies on each floor was great. You’re literally steps from the beach and the view of the water from the balcony was picture perfect! Everything you need is provided except a beach towel and food! The elevator was a lifesaver with all our provisions and luggage. There’s a kumquat tree on property that was beautiful. We grilled out one evening and the gas grill was great!! Our group didn’t want to leave!! You’re within walking distance to the lighthouse which was a fun experience! Highly recommend this cozy and welcoming beach house

Nice, quiet weekend away!

We were happy we selected this location. Nice little beach access on the north side of the island gives it somewhat of a private feel away from the main beach access points, which was a huge plus to our group! The place was very clean and the check in/out process was easy.

Tybee Family vacation

The home is lovely and is situated near a beautiful stretch of private beach. It exceeded our expectations for room and comfort for our three generation family Vacation. The rental agency was very good with communication before and during the stay. Can’t wait to return to Tybee in the future!

Amazing vacation home for families

We had three generations in this home for a week long 70th birthday celebration. The house was exactly as advertised and was perfect for our needs. It is a quick, easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed the ocean view from the home.

family reunion

Other than the severely damaged stove top we all loved it! It's a solid surface stove top with a big hole in it and cracks around the hole. We were all shocked to see such a nice property with such a dangerous stove top. Quite frankly the heating element was exposed as well as sharp edges. I hope this gets fixed ASAP!

Great beach house!!

We stayed at the sandcastle for 7 days. Very peaceful and quiet setting. Tybee vacation rental is professional and great to work with. We will be going back!

The kitchen, dining and living space are on the third floor. What a great idea!

Our family loved the spacious great room on the third floor. We had lots of space for viewing TV, playing card games, cooking and eating. The balconies on the third and second floors gave a great view of the ocean. There are utensils and cooking equipment to cook all your meals "at home" if you choose. Some attention is needed to the washer. It shakes excessively in the spin cycle. It is an easy walk to the beach. The bedrooms are lovely and inviting. Beds are comfortable. I would put a mirror and a dresser in each bedroom. The floors are "hardwood" and easy to sweep up the sand that came in with visits to the beach. The elevator was convenient for the older members of our family. We will have wonderful memories of our visit here.
