Relax and unwind on Tybee Island in this 4 bedroom, 3 bath home on desirable Jones Avenue. The home is located only a short 3.5 blocks to the beach and within walking distance to shops, delicious local restaurants, as well as the island's Grocery store.
In true beach cottage fashion, the main level living space is on the second floor of the home. The ground level of the home is perfect for outdoor entertaining with a covered seating area perfect for outdoor games, corn hole, and activities. There is also a ground-level screened porch that overlooks the backyard and is perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather. This home is pet-friendly and offers a fully fenced backyard.
Inside, guests are greeted with a newly updated kitchen and dining area. The large farm-style dining table offers seating for 8. The living room is comfortably furnished with a Queen Sleeper Sofa. The living room has a 42 inch Smart TV with cable and Roku. The Primary bedroom is furnished with a King-sized bed and has an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower. The guest bedrooms are tastefully appointed, with a Queen bed and TV in one room, and 2 twin bunk beds, for a total of 4 persons in the second guest bedroom. There is also a shared full bathroom in the hall with a tub and shower combination. The fourth bedroom addition is furnished with a King-size bed and has a bathroom accessible from the hallway. The home is equipped with a full-size washer and dryer for guests' use.

Love the house. Great for my family. The air conditioner did go out Sunday evening but we managed. Location was good to get to beach, short walk and with bikes was easy to get to shopping and food
The location of the home is perfect. It’s within walking distance from everything Tybee Island has to offer. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate for the first two days we stayed on Tybee so we had to drive everywhere. Tons of places to eat. Best place was Pier 16. Great seafood. You must try the mini Tuna Tartare tacos on the appetizer. We really enjoyed the screened in porch on the property. The yard is small but my dog was fine. I reached out to property regarding some cleaning issues and they were really quick to respond and will make it right for future guests. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be back to Tybee Island soon.

We had a great time in TYBEE and were able to bring our two dogs which made it an even more enjoyable stay. The house needs to be cleaned up. The amount of dust on the intake for the AC was disgusting !!! There are water stains on the ceilings, both bathrooms need some TLC. The cook top also needs some TLC . The floors make a ton of noise anywhere in the house. The downstairs needed to blown off and was very duty and duty!!!! The water hose didn’t work !!!!
The property was just as listed with plenty of space and amenities. We arrived just ahead of Tropical Storm Ian and the property manager had already secured all outside items and once the storm had passed they returned and reset it all to our liking. Communication was frequent and easy. I would not hesitate to return.
Just a half mile from the strip and 3 blocks from the beach, this lovely house was perfectly situated for quiet evenings. It was close enough to the bars that those who wanted a later night were able to find that just down the road.
Next time I would book via the rental agency and not through vrbo.
This property was just as expected by the description and pictures given. Very clean, just the right size for our large family gathering and close to many places. We would recommend this property and if we ever come back to the Savannah area we will definitely book this home. Great space in doors and several sitting areas outdoors. And walking distance to the beach!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this rental. The home was clean and roomy with a nice floor plan. Two outdoor shaded seating areas, a grill and small fenced yard provided added room. The neighborhood was quiet but an easy walk to the beach and commercial areas. Check in/out was seamless. Everything was as advertised. We would gladly come back.
We enjoyed our family trip to Tybee. The interior of the house was very clean. The neighborhood was very quiet. Restaurants were just blocks away. The only issue was that the chairs around the fire pit could use some cleaning, so we did not get to enjoy that as planned. Other than that minor issue, we had a great weekend at The Flying Pig.
This house was a great location to the beach and bike trail and also to the main strip. Everyone was super friendly. Absolutely Love Tybee Island. This was our second time here and hope to return again in the future.
I took my family to Tybee and we could not have picked a better place great outdoor areas with games, a grill, firepit, and a screened in porch for the little ones, a short walk to the beach and plenty of room inside too.
To make it simple I will give you a list of pros and cons:
PROS:
1. The house was clean and nicely decorated.
2. Enough space and bathrooms for eight people.
3. Back yard and screened in porch were great for the evenings.
4. Close to restaurants and grocery store.
5. Well stocked kitchen.
CONS:
1. The house was worn in some areas like the kitchen and some maintenance needed to be done.
2. Air conditioning in the front bedroom off of the kitchen did not cool the room adequately and made it difficult to sleep.
3. The walk to the beach was just a little too long making it difficult to go back to the house for a break. If you want to be close to the beach, this is not the house for you.
4. While there were towels, soap and tp in the bathrooms, would be nice to have some back up supplies.
5. The rental place for beach gear was booked for a month. We found North Tybee Beach Rentals to be a much better company. They were reliable and their equipment was in good shape. Not having a wagon or some beach gear at the house made it difficult...even some chairs would be nice.

The outside sheltered area we cold sut in when it was raining. Didn't have to be inside on vacation
I loved the neighborhood, the fenced in yard, and the screened in porch. Great for late afternoons. I would suggest that you put a lighter in the kitchen for the fire pit since not everyone smokes or carries a lighter. Had everything for s'mores but a lighter. Enjoyed the large family room and the washer and dryer. Great for families. I will book again soon.
The home was located within walking distance to the beach. The home is modern and had enough room for the family. The home was clean and equipped with everything we needed.
Cozy, relaxing space within 5 minute walk of the beach. Excellent for families and small pets. Gather around the fire pit on a cool evening and enjoy tasty local restaurants like Salt Island, HucaPoo’s and Tybean. Fort Pulaski is great for picnics and hiking, and the lighthouse has a wonderful view. Highly recommend the Flying Pigs Cottage!

Upon arrival we saw that the house was really clean. We took our two dogs, So first was an inspection of the fence before we let them out. we immediately saw a pile of mixed fruit. Grapes are poisonous to dogs. We had to clean it up. This could have been a bad situation. Cable in the master bedroom didn't work. However we did not use it .The dryer blew lint all over the bottom floor every time we used it. Other than the those issues we had a great time and enjoyed the house and beach,
Great whimsical cottage that makes great use of space. Very clean with newer appliances (although microwave was not working, but reported to us before check-in). Air conditioner was not working upon arrival, but someone was out quickly and got it working for us. The 12th and 13th street beaches were a 10!
Great space with plenty of outlets & beds. Walk-in closets in each bedroom & plenty of extra pillows & blankets. Bring extra TP & any cooking food needs or the local grocery is 3 blocks away. There is dishwasher tabs & laundry soap for 2 loads. Downstairs space is a plus to visit or play bags. Hairdryers are provided in each bathroom. The coffee maker utilizes round filters of which a few are provided. Overall a great location & rental.
I cannot say enough how much this property was ideal for our group. My husband and I traveled with our 2 daughters and 2 of their friends. The island is small enough that it is a safe place for them to roam on their own. We rented bikes so they had transportation.
The property has so many positives:
1: outdoor shower, a huge benefit. You can rinse off the sand before heading upstairs.
2: no carpets at all and a broom to keep the property clean during your stay.
3: the covered outdoor space downstairs was a great place to have coffee in the mornings after an early run or walk on the beach. It was also a great place to keep the beach gear and not track sand all over the house and store the bikes.
4: the screened in porch was a nice place to be in the evenings.
5: the house was just the right size for 6: 4 teenagers and 2 adults. There’s a king bed, queen bed, a room with 2 sets of bunk beds and a sofa bed but I couldn’t imagine having 10 people on the property, it would be too tiny for 10, even if the kids were small. We were provided with plenty of linens and pillows. The kitchen had plenty of plates, cups, utensils, etc. I was able to comfortably cook and serve in the kitchen and dining table.
6: EVERYTHING IS LABELED! LOVED THIS! We knew what every switch was for, I knew where to find serving dishes, etc.
7: the property management company was very user friendly. They were very responsive and prompt. One of the bed linens was stained, I informed them when we checked in, they promptly sent someone with replacement linens. They use this app, Hospitality, which I really enjoyed using. It’s like a digital concierge. The directions to the property management company and the actual property were in the app and were very detailed.
We really enjoyed out stay. The house was perfect for us. We loved the yard and the covered hang out space adjacent to the yard. Great for parking bikes and beach chairs and sitting and relaxing while the dog enjoyed the yard. Fire pit was an added bonus. House has everything you need and more. Very easy bike ride to the beach and shops/restaurants. Will definitely stay again!
