This is a really unique, beautiful hotel with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast, though expensive, was excellent. Recommended.

Staff where highly attentive, kind and polite. The hotel was lovely, set in a 15th century building. Great they squeezed in a small pool area for hot summer days. Parking was easy (although this could be clearer on their website)

Our second opportunity to stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff, from associates to the proprietors, go out of their way to make sure that everyone is well taken care of. Laura, as well as the owner, are especially warm and welcoming, with excellent suggestions to make your visit to Troyes a memorable holiday. Our room was lovely, with great touches. Breakfast was perfect. And the lovingly renovated building is a tribute to the great care taken to preserve the character of the building and the history of Troyes. Not to be missed!

Perfect hotel in a Perfect location

This hotel was perfect for our family of 4 as a last night in Europe. For an old building it was perfectly kept and so nice, breakfast was exceptional. Would be a perfect stop on the way in too. Troyes is a lovely place with great bars and restaurants!

This is a wonderful hotel situated in the heart of Troyes. The team are very welcoming and we received a complimentary room upgrade which made our stay even more special. The hotel has a warm and friendly feel, everywhere is extremely clean and tidy and the breakfast is amazing. Highly recommended.

We had an exceptional stay at Le Champ des Oiseaux Hôtel & Spa. From the moment you walk through the entrance, the hotel has a unique charm and immediately creates the perfect atmosphere for a stay in Troyes. The beautifully restored historic building, peaceful courtyard and tasteful interiors give you a real sense of place while still offering every comfort. Our room was elegant and spacious with an exceptionally comfortable bed. We visited during a heatwave, with temperatures reaching 35°C, so we particularly appreciated the air conditioning: it was very quiet, worked perfectly and ensured a wonderful night’s sleep. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of the cathedral and the beautiful old town, yet the hotel itself feels like a peaceful oasis. The breakfast was also generous and included eggs of your choice. If you’re looking for a characterful boutique hotel that combines history, comfort and excellent service, Le Champ des Oiseaux is a perfect choice and a wonderful base for exploring Troyes.

The location was great, the hotel itself was lovely and it was very comfortable. Things I didn’t like were, the toilet in our room was separate from the bathroom but didn’t have any washing facilities so you had to walk from the toilet through the bedroom into the bathroom which was just odd. The breakfast is extortionate at €32 per person. Whilst the produce is local and the juice organic I’m afraid the price tag is just too much. For this you get a small bowl of chopped fruit salad, a natural yogurt pot, a small dish of fruit purée, a slice of cake, 2 little pots of jam a dried apricot slice and a dried prune. You then have a choice of hot drinks and a juice, along with some bread a croissant and your choice of scrambled eggs an omelette or boiled eggs and also bacon. Whilst the breakfast was tasty it certainly doesn’t warrant the hefty price tag.
