"Cute little cabin with all the amenities at a great value. Big lot located right at the base of a hiking trail, right across the street from Torch Lake and gas and grocery right down the road. it was perfect for a quick weekend getaway and we hope to come back this summer."

Charming New 2-bedroom house that’s close to it all

"Spacious newer two bedroom home with 1.5 baths. Clean and well organized. Rooms are on opposite ends of the home for privacy. More than adequate kitchen. Owner was accommodating and responsive to messages. Five minutes from torch lake. Would stay here again. Great for 4-6 guests. Didn’t use the outdoor area in the winter, but there is a nice fire pit and backyard. Owners live on the 38acre property. "

Sandy Beach Cottage on Torch Lake, in Alden

"The place is in an excellent location and beautiful sunsets over lake, and close walking distance to a very small quaint town. Cottage is cute and has been updated in some places very nicely. As it does state it truly is "Grandfather's Cottage". The downside we felt were lack of privacy curtains in the bedrooms. There were very sheer white curtains that were completely see through. It would be very nice if actual privacy curtains or blinds there, so if you wanted to change in a bedroom or shut for some morning sleep in time, not have entire bedroom light at sunrise. The 2 small windows in living room would be nice to have a pull down blind option (there is nothing on these windows) to have privacy from close neighbors if you wanted. There were only two of us, so we hung some bed sheets in bedrooms & improvised with towels in the living room. Electrical outlets are very minimal and very outdated (thus to be expected with age of home). Tough if needing to work with a computer or electronic devices in certain spots/limited capacity. I give it an 8.5/10 for being clean (will admit, I probably have a little OCD on the cleaning scale). Great place if you want to be directly on lake and have the views, along with the BEST feature of being able to bring your fur babies along. Thanks for the adventure!"

21 Mi to Slopes! Torch Lake Home w/ Private Beach

"This is a great lakehouse in a great location. We stayed just after the "off-season" began, the second week of September, so there were more locals than tourists and less activity in the establishments and at the sand bar, which was just fine by us. We cooked in the cabin, grilled on the deck, used the fire pit and went to the sand bar each day with the small boat we took there. One note, if you bring your boat, they provide and mooring buoy in knee deep water just off the dock, instead of allowing you to tie directly to the dock. The water is crystal clear and very shallow for hundreds of yards directly off the dock here and directly connected to the sandbar. We did not need it, but this cabin does not have a/c. We did not use the bunk house, but I did peak inside. Just as described, a set of bunk beds and a full size bed in one room, and a separate sitting room area. Overall, great experience! "

"We stayed at this very unique lakefront home on Torch Lake and absolutely loved it! The house itself has so much character and charm, and the location is unbeatable—right on the water with a perfect sandy beach. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side this trip—it was cold and extremely windy—so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach as much as we’d hoped. That said, we can only imagine how incredible it would be during the prime summer months, and we can’t wait to come back then to experience it fully. Highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a special spot on Torch Lake!"
