Tim, the bartender, made our stay excellent. The other staff were very nice also. We received an upgrade and had a better room than we expected. The view was nice, the area is great, and we felt like we were the only people in town (off-season indeed).

The room was spotless and classy with some local chips and water in the rooms. Excellent for our small dog with amazing views and walking paths. I would also recommend a local breakfast spot Ames Street Cafe. We talked with another guest and we both enjoyed the home made local food. The rapids right next to the hotel was fantastic for wildlife and cool scenery. Short walk see the Elk River to flow into the east bay. It would be a great opportunity for a summer stay if you can get a boat slip. Great hospitality with a fresh modern look. No fears with this not being a large chain. We hope to return soon.

Easy key-less check-in administered by text messages. Your phone needs to stay charged to remember the codes, or take a screen shot, or have a great memory of 3 #’s. The rooms are very clean and modern. What I did not like - for a light sleeper it is not ideal. I found the bed uncomfortable and there was a constant generator/broiler-like humming that made it difficult to fall asleep. The walls are very thin so any talking in the hallway, showers taken next door, were easily palpable to hear. Luckily my neighbors were quiet. The Roku tv did not provide much live sports tv options. It was fine for the the event I was there for, but I probably would not stay there again.

Very nice room, great location in center of town, immaculately clean, like-new construction. Would be 5 stars but I'm not keen on the self-service concept. No one working at reception, you have to check yourself in online and get access codes. We had no problems, but it's easy to see how it could be a problem. I notice that hotels have gotten rid of housekeeping, and now the front desk as well, but haven't passed on the savings in the form of lower rates.

The only improvements we would suggest is maybe a flyer with more of the site info, like how to get extra wash clothes etc. We would really appreciate and extra shelf added to the bedside.. it is impossible to put glasses, water, book, phone on the tiny shelf

First time we checked into a hotel that did everything virtually. It was odd and my wife missed the personal touch. BUT everything went smoothly and we had a great stay. One of the rooms on our floor must have flooded because the hotel had to call people in to resolve the water leak that went from the second floor to the parking area. Other than fans in the hallway, it didn't disturb our stay.

I booked through Expedia back in May for a rate that was 2X the current rate that could be obtained directly from the hotel. This is WAY TOO MUCH for a hotel that offers limited service - get your own towels, take out your own trash, and room cleaning only twice per week (if you sign up for it). There is no pool. There is no breakfast. The room rate now on the hotel web site is less than half of what I paid. BUYER BEWARE. Make sure you know what you are paying for with the Dexter by Kasa. There are many other options in town offering greater value.
