The Hiawatha Hideaway was a hidden gem. The property was clean, well maintained, and well managed. It was a little hard to find at first because of internet issues (not the fault of the owners) but the owners did everything they could to help us navigate.
Location was nice: close to Munising and Pictured Rocks, where we spent most of our time, and Hiawatha National Forest, where our (adult) kids were camping.
The upper floor, though not as roomy as it appeared in the photos, was nicely refinished and modern. The basement was even more impressive, with a walk-in shower and spacious "entertainment" room for lounging.
The back yard, though not completely private, felt like we were camping. Floodlights were nice for security, but made star-gazing a little tricky!
The hosts were very attentive and quick to communicate with us about any issues or questions.
