What a lovely peaceful location this cottage is in .
What a lovely peaceful location this cottage is in . Surrounded by beautiful scenery this cottage ticks all the boxes. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding and towels all of good quality. We could only find one fault with this cottage and that was cosmetic!!! It was the hottest week of the summer and we needed to leave doors open. Some of those heavy door stops would have been very handy!!!Lovely owners who were very friendly and helpful.Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable accommodation.
Very comfortable accommodation. High standard, well equipped, warm, very quiet location.
Initial problems with heating timing but soon put right by owner. All the kitchen utensils were of a high standard. Good location for touring, near to Thirsk which is a very pleasant town with all amenities. Its possible to tour the Moors, Dales and also the coast from this area. Local pub was good but a bit above our budget. It was a nice bonus to have a t.v. in both bedrooms. An added touch was the owner left us tea/coffee and a box of shortbread !
Would recommend this cottage.

We stayed at Hurworth whilst completing stages 1 and 2 of the Cleveland Way.
We stayed at Hurworth whilst completing stages 1 and 2 of the Cleveland Way. The cottage is in a very picturesque location, easy to find and very comfortable. The beds and linen were top quality and we all enjoyed good nights sleep. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking evening meals. The host couldn't have been more helpful and quickly responded to queries. We would heartily recommend this place to stay in a beautiful part of Yorkshire.

The cottage was a perfect choice for a weekend break away with friends.
The cottage was a perfect choice for a weekend break away with friends. It was in a pretty location - it was lovely seeing sheep from the bedroom window. Beds were very comfortable with linen & furnishings of very good quality. A few simple things could improve things; a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on & a toilet roll holder would be good! A Pyrex measuring jug would also be handy in the kitchen. As I say just very simple things but overall the quality was great & we had an excellent weekend.
Lovely spacious well equipped cottage in a rural position close to A19. Owner friendly and helpful.
Nice garden to watch the many birds.

A very isolated cottage with only a public house within two miles - no shops etc.
A very isolated cottage with only a public house within two miles - no shops etc. However it was a restful, peaceful place to stay for a few days. The owners were very friendly and everything in the cottage was as one would hope for. If you have a car (which is essential ) there is plenty to do within a short radius - the coast is only 45 minutes drive away and the nearest town only 5-10 minutes away. Ideal if you want solitude!

The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful setting though still easily accessible. Although the weather was unseasonably cold and wet, the cottage was a warm and comfortable base to come back to. We found plenty to do and see in the area in spite of the rain and are looking forward to returning to lovely North Yorkshire in the future (hopefully in better weather).

Lovely location, cottage very cnice , comfortable beds, kitchen could do with some mixing bowls or basins I had to make a dip in a saucepan. Also a Pyrex measuring jug for mixing sauces instead of a funny shaped plastic one however apart from that we had a wonderful holiday and would return.
