Beautiful city of Troyes
The Sarce valley has the nearest vineyards to Troyes after Montgueux. There are several grower champagne houses in the small villages. Champagne is often aged in new or secondhand barrels from Burgundy.The valley would be a great place to cycle. There are several places that sell delicious local produce.
This isn't one of the best known cathedrals in France but it certainly deserves a visit. Fine gargoyles,wonderful stained glass and the place where the rules for the Knights Templar were drawn up.

Je me lance dans un exercice photo, me mettant au défi de prendre ou publier une photo par jour. Je commence donc par un cliché récent, pris dans la forêt d'Orient, en Champagne-Ardennes (où devrais-je dire la région "Grand Est"). Alors que j'attendais depuis quelques minutes déjà que ce petit jeune se décide à lever la tête, un avion de chasse de l'armée de l'air, passant au dessus de nos têtes dans un vacarme assourdissant m'a permis de prendre cette photo. Comme quoi, vive l'état d'urgence... -- As my interest for photography is increasing rapidly, I have decided to set myself a challenge, taking or posting one picture a day. Let's then start with this recent shot, taken in a forest located in the north-east of France, of this young deer who finally raised its head from the grass when a fighter jet flew over our heads. #1pictureAday
