"We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the woods; I'll share why and then give some caveats. Cozy is an accurate description for the cabin; the living space is on the small side but there was ample room for our family of six with three ground floor bedrooms and a spacious loft. The back deck is a huge plus, with killer views of Lake George and the mountains around it. We even got prime views of a fireworks show on Saturday night! The cabin is in a quiet, peaceful location yet it is so close to to a selection of Bolton Landing restaurants and stores. We really liked the town. The last big plus for our stay was our host, who was very helpful and communicative when we experienced storm-related challenges on the day of our arrival. Scott is one of the best hosts I've encountered on VRBO. There are some drawbacks that were minor for us but may mean more to someone else. The cabin is dated, it looks like a 70's throwback and some furniture seens like it's been there from then. It also was a bit dirty in the kitchen and living room; the bedrooms were ok but the kitchen floor had dirt, sand and some sticky stuff on it. The house cleaners need to do a better job. Also be aware that the house is literally next door to the town water treatment plant and there us a strong odor from there from time to time. My wife was really bothered by it when it happened but I didn't notice it much. For us, the pluses of the house outweigh the few drawbacks. I'd recommend staying here."
