"This was a great property if you like something rustic in the woods. Plenty of space for a large group if needed. My only suggestion is that it could use some refreshing. Carpets could use a cleaning and the kitchen counter, made of wood, has lost it's clear coat finish in a large area leaving bare wood. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay."

"The property had everything you could imagine.... game rooms, movie theater, hot tub, multiple areas both indoors and outdoors to spread out to and excellent access to the lake. Ideal place for an extended family/friend vacation. A few caveats:The original posting claimed it was handicap accessible and had an elevator. Was told the elevator didn't work and they would be removing that from the advertising. They later got the elevator working but said that it would not be available going forward. If you have someone who can't do stairs, that makes 2/3 of the house and access to the lake off limits. Also, there are steps between basically every room on the main floor, so clearly not wheelchair friendly. Overall a great property however."

"Beautiful setting on Lake George. I chose The Chateau because I was going to a conference at Sagamore Resort. The Chateau is less expensive and a short 5 minute drive away. The room is lovely and the bed is very comfortable. The gas 'fireplace' was very cozy. I used the iron and ironing board. I appreciated the complimentary sparkling water. I wish the privacy blinds on the French doors were on the inside of the room because the balcony is shared with another room. (Another guest could potentially open the blinds and peer into this room.) The summer season was over in October during my stay. The staffing shortages meant I could not reach anybody by phone or website chat before my stay even though I left voicemail and my personal email. Everything worked out ok and I was able to 'check in' myself."
