"Awesome stay. The general manager and staff were wonderful. They did everything they could to accommodate us and make our stay enjoyable! The morning pastries were amazing and the housekeeping staff did a great job of keeping our room perfect. We would highly recommend this quaint bed and breakfast which is in the perfect location to walk to all the great restaurants and sites in Newport! 🤗"

"the staff was friendly, the room clean but generic.. bathroom somewhat outdated but ok View of harbor spectacular, had a frig and Keurig in the room plus an iron and ironing board. but no safe. Bed very comfortable, Air conditioning worked well. No room service but had restaurant on the property. Parking lot at the hotel and location right on the harbor and convenient to shops and restaurants. Only complaint would be the tv.. very limited shows, mostly local stations.. no cable news or shows.. an old hotel and a little tired but All in all , a good value for the money. Great location!"

"The Wellington was a last-minute-ish choice for our trip to Newport. It is in an excellent location - walkable to the busy parts of the waterfront, but not so close that there is noise and excessive traffic. The free transit bus and mansions are a short walk away. The room was spacious and homey, the bed was very comfortable, the pool and grounds are in excellent shape. The room rate is not cheap, but we felt it was well worth it, and will gladly stay again."

"I liked the property because it is close to Eaton’s Beach and the Cliff Walk. The room was exceptionally clean, and the amenities were great. The parking spot is very convenient. The staff was nice too. They let me check in early."

"Tim at the front desk was excellent. He gave us lots of great information about sites to visit in Newport. Paula was excellent as well. She moved us quickly from room 200 which has a lot of street noise and was also great to work with."

"We had a nice long weekend at the hotel. The staff was friendly, the breakfasts were good, parking was free and very convenient. The location is a short walk to both restaurants and shops. My only recommendation to the hotel is to address the musty odor that is overwhelming when you walk into the lobby. Maybe consider a signature scent of some type? Everything was in order and kept, but the smell made me feel otherwise. There are some minor repairs to the room we were staying in that need addressing. The bathroom seemed a bit worn, otherwise good little hotel that is quiet."

"Each and every staff member at Garfinef House makes you feel like they are so happy you are there. So professional, yet so approachable. We ate dinner at Flora, the restaurant on the 2nd floor. Same service with excellent food. So pleased we stayed there"
