"Great host! Excellent communications, easy check in and parking right out front. The place is very clean and very comfortable. We were in town to explore the Hatfield and McCoy trail and the location could not have been better. Would definitely come back."
"The Red Dog Cottage was a little slice of heaven! Sooo peaceful, clean, and just adorable! The hosts, Shawn and Tonya, are lovely, caring people and will make you feel right at home. The perfect couples retreat and great outdoor activities nearby like side-by-side trail riding, hiking, or just relaxing! Don’t forget to wake early to watch all the beautiful birds and critters and the creek from the porch with your coffee!"
"Beautiful place. Super nice people with great communication but they won't bug you and do give you your privacy. Great location to trails for riding. Dog did not like spiral stairs so we did have to carry him in and out but otherwise he loved it too."

Trail Riders Retreat! Hatfield McCoy Trails. Private Pool. Loads of Parking!
8/10 Good
"House was clean and as described. There was only one trail access point near the house. Nearly the entire driveway is sloped. Long trailers can be a challenge to manuever. We were able to park sideways at the bottom, but it definitely takes skill. There were several extras throughout house, but essentials (examples: toilet paper (1.5 rolls) and trash bags (2)) were lacking for a 9 day stay. An "issue" pertaining to a pool inflatable arose that could have been handled better by the hosts. During one of the host's DAILY check-ins he noticed a 10 round tube inflatable broke. Instead of addressing it with me, he opted to lock the remaining toys up as if we were going to wreck everything. We were having such a great time with the pool. The owner's actions really changed the vibe. Very sad given this was something so minor, that we fully intended to replace. If the inflatables weren't to be played with there should be a sign or instruction. There was nothing indicating that was the case. Accidents happen. I'm thankful nothing serious arose."
