「What a lovely place to spend time on you travels! A lovely property set in a rural location, great facilities and an excellent bar/restaurant. The weather was fabulous that day so spent the evening in the lovely beer garden, but indoor dining rooms/spaces also looked good. The welcome was warm and efficient (I’d only booked a few hours before turning up) and the staff really made the stay very pleasant/comfortable. Definitely a place to stay if you’re in the area.」

「Had to ask for clean towels and coffee sachets. Also had to ask for room to be cleaned and bedding changed after 3 days. So a 7 day stay only changed once. Lights not working. Shower connected to taps so unable to control water temperature. Shaving light above sink not working. Towel rail in bathroom got dangerously hot and was held together with insulating tape. A small step down to the room had no hazard warning tape or aluminaton, tripped over going out and fell down going in.」

「The Woodlands was a beautiful stay. I loved the surrounding wild life and peacefulness about it. Staff were wonderful and went out of their way to support me, being I am disabled and require a stick to walk. The bed was extremely comfortable, clean & fresh. Nice hot showers. Breakfast was excellent and catered to my tastes. Overall I would recommend the Woodlands if your looking for a stay that offers peaceful space, nature and a very warm welcome. 「Very individual inn with amazing restaurant facilities and a good choice of beers! Slight downside was the fact that our room just had Velux windows which didn't open and it was a bit stifling at night. There were no other windows except for a small one in the ensuite. We were late in booking so at least we had a lovely clean room! Bed was very comfy. Overall: would we go back there? Yes, certainly!!」

「This property was probably a very nice house in its day with a great location close to Ely centre and backing onto the golf course. It’s now very tired old lady that’s seen better days. It was clean and the breakfast was very good. There was no one to receive us and the room key was left on the reception desk with a note. "We spent a weekend at The Fellows House with our toddler and it was exactly what we needed. The family room across two floors was the standout. Once our son was asleep upstairs, my wife and I could properly wind down downstairs without tiptoeing around. That alone made the trip work, and it's a layout you rarely find at this price point. The hotel restaurant had a good range of vegan options, which is unusual and meant we didn't have to plan every dinner out around dietary needs. There's a lovely cafe right at the entrance for the morning coffee fix too. The pool kept our little one happily entertained, and I got a proper evening workout in at the gym, which felt like a real facility rather than an afterthought. Staff were warm and genuinely friendly throughout. An easy recommendation for families who want quality time as a couple without leaving the kid behind."
