Great location in the heart of the old town, right next to the river and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel was very clean, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well. The bed was a little too soft for our liking and quite noisy when moving. Also, the bedside lamp couldn’t be used because the only available power outlet was needed for charging our devices. Our biggest disappointment was the room allocation. We had specifically contacted the hotel beforehand to confirm a room with a private bathroom, but on arrival we were given a room with a shared bathroom because, we were told, the private bathroom had broken. We understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing. We had to insist that this was not acceptable, especially after receiving prior confirmation. The initial response was simply that “things get broken,” delivered with a dismissive attitude. Only after we pressed the issue were we given an upgraded room with a private bathroom. Overall, the location and cleanliness were excellent, but the customer service when dealing with the room issue could have been handled much more professionally.

The apartment was a fantastic accommodation in a quiet residential area, yet not far from the city center. Every area was nicely decorated and everting needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The host was always helpful when we had questions. Check in and check out were easy. My only recommendation would be to include the city tax in the reservation. They asked us to leave cash in a box or to do a bank transfer. We did not have euros and left American dollars. The host was gracious to accept it.
