「Great location, wonderful friendly staff, comfy beds, plenty of parking and great breakfasts. Only downside was the height of the bathroom ceiling, but we were in the loft space with a great view of the river.」

Rooms were lovely, huge comfy beds, lovely and clean and everything you needed right there.
Staff were also very helpful and restaurant food delicious.

「Great option for a low cost stay within easy walking distance of the centre. Free parking- reception will provide a pass to display in your car. Good, clean rooms with tea & coffee making facilities. Towels and a small bar of soap provided, but no shampoo or shower gel. Excellent breakfast with plenty of hot and cold dishes, vegan/ vegetarian options, juices, tea and coffee. Would definitely stay again.」
「Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay.」
「Beautifully furnished old room up several small flights of stairs (not easily accessible for some). Recently refurbished old pub in a really central location near the Cathedral. Staff were amazing - managing to make us tea & coffee when there was a power cut! Would definitely reommend. 」
「I was impressed with the lady who ran the hotel that night. She checked me in, instructed me where to park my car, advised where to get dinner because they didn't provide evening meals, served my drink in the bar, laid my table for my brought in take away dinner and then cleared up and still managed to do some cleaning. She made my evening very easy and pleasant. I couldn't ask for more. 」
「We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....
