「Forgan Cottage was a great place to stay for the four of us on our golf trip to St Andrews. Facilities were clean and well cared for. Location is excellent - if you want to walk you are within 15 minutes of just about everything of significance in St Andrews. While no onsite parking - there is ample free parking nearby. 「When we first arrived the cottage had that old house/cottage musty smell so opened ALL the windows. Bedrooms were nice except I found a blanket in a wardrobe with, I think, dog hairs on it. We love dogs but maybe a notice to say they were for dogs and perhaps washed before next visitors, a small thing for us but maybe not for some others. 「Had a lovely weekend staying at Birnie Cottage. Aileen was great at giving information prior to our arrival and gave us a lovely welcome with scones, butter and jam. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and we were lucky enough to be able to sit out 2 evenings enjoying the sun and the garden. The advert did not make it clear that the cottage is next to a road of fast flowing traffic, and that parking is next to the road, which is dangerous for getting a dog from the car to the cottage. There are no dog walks nearby. The inclusion of the hot tub drew us in, but we were not going to pay an extra £100 to use it. 「The property was as expected photos accurate. We had a very enjoyable stay visiting Crail after a 30 year gap. The beds were comfy plenty of hot water and cosy seating areas location was excellent . Lots of seating outside for those sunny days we managed coffee outside one morning . Lovely coastal walks.」
