"Staff don’t speak English bathroom only on the first floor we were staying at the 4th and no dinner and no breakfast available. Good for a step only one night before Kyoto. "
"Comfort hotel is always the best no frill hotel available to when visit Japan. It doesn’t have a lot of bell and whistle like other hotel, but it always have reasonable size room and hearty and healthy breakfast to keep you going when travelling around Japan."
"Needed to stay here because of work. Even with the air-conditioning set to 19 for the entire night, the lowest the room temperature got was 27. It was difficult to sleep and the hotel staff were quite rude. I don't recommend going here unless you absolutely have to"

"We stayed at this hotel in both Kyoto & Osaka. Both have onsens but these felt superior. The massage chairs were also a great boost to what they offer and staff was great and helpful.
At a great location and a place I would absolutely return to when back in Kyoto.
Can be a bit busy during peak hours but still find times to take advantage of amenities. "
"This place was very nearly a perfect hotel room - incredibly spacious, exceedingly comfortable bed and pillows, toilet sink actually had soap (not often the case in Japan), a fantastic shower and tub, and so much space for storage of your items. The only 2 things more I could have asked for would have been natural light in the bathroom and a view from the window, but those are both pretty minor asks.
The hotel itself is also in a super convenient area right near transit and easy to get taxis, and walking distance to a ton of food, shops, Gion, and more."
"Beautiful room with plenty of space, comfortable beds, and kind staff. We paid for breakfast and were given lunch as well. Plus, there is a nice club room with sofas, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks as a free service of the hotel. The Onsen is lovely after a long day. Easy access to train stations and it’s easy to get around to all of the temples and shops. A nice Pilates and yoga facility is down the street. It was a posit e experience all anroind, and I would do it all over again. "
