"The hotel was very clean, pretty modern looking, but not sure if it’s a new hotel, but there was a smell of “construction.” Having renovated houses, the smell in the hallway/room/stairwell is what that reminded me of. Otherwise, the hotel room was spacious and clean. I do wish there was a holder for a hand towel in the sink/vanity area. The staff was great, and they had our luggages delivered from the airport already in our room when we checked in. In fairness, this area of Japan is remote and a car is needed to get around, but there is a supermarket within a few minutes walk from the hotel. "

"I had a really nice stay at the Fairfield. The staff there was very very helpful. The room was spacious, well maintained and had a small hot pot to geat water for coffee, tea or miso soup. You do not need soap or shampoo hecause it provided in the shower. There are a couple of restaurants nearby but they close around 8pm plan to go to the market which is a little over a mile away. Theres a local bus that runs almost every hour for 200¥ one way. L "

"We had a very good night Sansuikan Kawayu Matsuya. They share hot springs and the restaurant with a nearby hotel. Hot springs are the absolute standout: fantastic! Food is good and plentiful. Our room had a brilliant view. All the rest is okay, although the exterior of the building is not nice."
