"We had a wonderful week at the Log Lodge. This property is very unique and has a lot of history in the house itself and also in the carefully curated collection of art and other fun antique artifacts that the owners have decorated it with. The property itself is larger than most Tahoe area lots, and the dog-friendly policy was wonderful for us. There is even a fenced-in dog area behind the house that kept our furry loved ones safe and happy. The property managers are very friendly, cooperative and responsive if needed. We will definitely be staying there again."
"Check in was easy. Communication was great. Kitchen was equipped with basic necessities, but could have had more basic spices for cooking. Bedroom and living room was comfortable. Hot tub and location were the highlight! Would stay again. "
"We loved the location and the home was beautiful. Having wonderful access to the lake, the pier and a lawn was a big plus. The house is lovely and the layout perfect for family.
Sadly, the house was not clean and there are numerous issues with the accommodations that surprised us. We did reach out and a wonderful employee came out to address a couple of issues but the overall lack of care was too much even for him.
For example, the stove has no working vent hood so the grease goes right into the main LR. The dishwasher had a rack that was broken, the trash compactor doesn’t work, the refrigerator had a number of problems, the oven rack was broken and almost caused a MAJOR disaster, the pillows in the bedrooms were like pieces of hard foam.
These are simple issues that just were annoying and should be addressed.
This house is perfectly located and has great architecture and deserves better care.
And the windows! I doubt they’ve ever been cleaned. You’re looking at an amazing view through cobwebs and water stains! Sorta sad.
If they clean it up and fix these issues it would be an amazing spot. Even with those issues the location is a 10+. "

"Overall this place was great. It is truly a cabin in the woods! We saw a bear in the driveway on the first night and still felt very safe. We had a question for the host after we arrived and they were quick to respond. We'll stay again"
