Property was older but perfect for our needs. We had a two bedroomed apartment on floor 22 so excellent views. Check in was friendly and efficient. Area is safe- close to train station and Westfield.. Sydney was at our fingertips. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Property was old and dirty, especially walls and floor. Bathroom had hair still in shower on wall and floor tiles. Booked for 4 - second bed was not made up and only towels for 2 provided.

The hotel was nice, a bit dated so needs a renovation. Check-in went smoothly. Bit annoyed the following morning as they had renovation works or some kind of works as it was so noisy you couldn't sleep at all, the constant sounds of drills above or below my room was annoying. On check out they tried to charge me an extra $40 when I had already paid in full. For anyone that redeems reward nights on hotels.com make sure you have a copy of your receipt with you when it comes time to check out as this is what saved me from being charged again! The should've looked at their system first before saying that I owed them money when in fact I actually didn't. Anyway they eventually worked out the issue and all was well. Probably wouldn't stay here again, there were some other guests there when I went back later to pick up my bags that were having the same issue with charges, they were being charged about 800 instead of 400 and something. so their system they currently have in place needs to be updated as its causing issues for pre paid bookings.

The room was filthy, you couldn’t see out the windows, the bath had someone elses hair in the Deakin, the doors were falling off in the kitchen and there were fleas and bed bugs - don’t stay here. The staff are untrained and they are incredibly short staffed.. needs a complete overhaul and for close to $900 for two nights, it’s a complete ripoff.

Close proximity to everything was fantastic, so convenient and easy. The two-room apartment was a fantastic size for our family of 5. Groceries stores available a short walk to enable us to cook meals to keep costs down. Local coffee shops and bakeries as well. The skyline view was amazing. I was very dissatisfied with the additional charges and fees that were not advised when booking and payable at time of check-in. Parking fees we feel should be included in the accommodation costs, it certainly appeared there were enough permanent residents' vehicles within the parking spaces that could adequately cover the costs of temporary/holiday visitors parking fees.

Disappointed that the website said it was 14mins drive to circular quay spent a lot on Ubers as not close to the city. However great for local convenience if you know the area. All my group complained the beds were un comfortable.

Arrived at 1400 and told the room wasn’t quite ready and the hotel would call when available. Drove around Chatswood for 2 hours with no call so returned to hotel at 1600 and the room was ready finally. Shower had a heap of pubic hair in one corner and the dining table was filthy. Not sure why the room took so long to clean when evidently it wasn’t cleaned. Advised reception of this and they didn’t seem to care other than to say sorry. I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again. The Sebel used to be nice but the current owners have just let it run down.

Sebel was affordable while being in the heart of great shops, delicious food options and being 5 minutes from the train station only because you'll get distracted by all the cute and wonderful shops you'll find. They also offered room service, pool, spa and gym. The venue was very accommodating

Nice area, spacious rooms, and nicely stocked kitchenette. Some stains on the pillows, bathroom could have been cleaned better. Description about breakfast could have been better. There’s no restaurant and they provide a tray. We declined once we learnt it was a tray and the hotel wouldn’t refund the additional $18per head charge for breakfast- terrible way to treat the guests.

The property is the combination of residential and service apartments. As soon as we get into the lift, we can smell the cooking of someone stir frying! The smell becomes stronger as we get to the level we are staying at. Also when we use the parking facility that the property offers, the beam that is holding the ceiling is low for the 4 wheel drive car boot door when it was opened. We did not realize that and because it was all automatic, it caused a dent in our car boot door! We were of course upset about it and let the concierge know but they said they never had any issue. Overall, the property is clean but amenities need improvement, but the location was just perfect for us. If not for the damage to our car, our overall stay could have been stress free and enjoyable.

Excellent location, on the doorstep is all the food and shopping you could ever want. But the hotel is old, so the bathroom fixtures, carpet and furnishings are old. Foldout bed is borderline unsafe, if kids sleep too close to the metal edges. Cleanliness is a problem, with the sheets having stains and discolouration. But it's fair for the price I guess, and room service happens once every 7 days - so factor that in as well. Would recommend for large families on a budget.

The apartment was lovely. It allowed us to extend our families time to another city while still feel we were on holiday mode. Beds were clean and comfortable. Communication of staff was appalling. We got one rate as we booked online with Wotif but then we had to pay extra. This was after I had called the Sebel and asked for the booking. I was then given a higher price but was assured it considered all the extras. Then as we turned up for booking it was more expensive. Personnel simply said “this is the figure I have on my screen” it was a disappointing to start our holidays like that. Overall, a good stay and staff tried to be as helpful and accommodating to us.

Was convenient for where we needed to be however the room was dated and a little run down. 1 shower leaked every time we used it. The other shower we were unable to turn on the hot water tap. There was mould on bathroom tiles. 1 lift violently shook when travelling up.

The Sebel Chatswood was a nice place to stay. The use of the key for the lift needs to be explained to the guest better. Was amazing to have full kitchen and laundry available for our stay. Windows and mirrors need to be cleaned better.
