Careel Cottages KATOOMBA Front Cottage
Careel Cottages are located on the South side of Katoomba just a short walk from the vibrant Main Street with all of the cafes, restaurants and shops. You will also be close to the main attractions. The Three Sisters only a 5 Minute drive. Our Front Cottage can host a maximum of up to 4 guests. We also have a Trave Cot for those travelling with an infant. So if you are wanting to enjoy a stay in the mountains with the convenience of being close to everything and not breaking your budget then Careel Cottages will not disappoint.
The FRONT COTTAGE consists of 2 BEDROOMS with QUEEN size beds in both.
The vaulted ceilings give a feeling of space in the lounge/dining area and the warmth of the natural gas real flame log fire adds that final touch. The kitchen is a galley style contemporary themed design with everything you need to entertain and cook at home.
The FRONT COTTAGE has been renovated in 2016 and has a new bathroom and great new outdoor deck with BBQ.
TV 42" LED HD. FOXTEL is provided in BOTH cottages as well as free to air and digital channels.
Free NBN Wi Fi is supplied for our guests in BOTH cottages.
All LINEN IS PROVIDED.
If you are looking for a little more space then check out our BACK COTTAGE. It is the original property built in the 1940's which we have now fully renovated.. It comprises of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is PET FRIENDLY being fully fenced with a good sized garden. There is a great undercover deck with BBQ and a quality outdoor setting. Fully equipped kitchen with induction cooktop, oven and microwave Free unlimited WiFi is available. PLUS A NEW OUTSIDE ENTERTAINING AREA WITH BBQ. FANTASTIC FOR RELAXING AT HOME AFTER A LONG DAY ENJOYING THE MOUNTAINS.

Great location very close to town. We needed a one night stay so itvwas oerfect. We couldn't get heater to work but wasnt that cold so probably not needed
Steve was the perfect host. The cabin had all we needed for our short stay is is located conveniently 10 mins walk from town and close to many of the Blue Mountain’s highlights including Echo Point and Scenic World.
Would highly recommend this property.
Perfect Getaway: Ideal Location, Charming House, and Convenient Amenities!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Vrbo property! The location was ideal, close to major attractions in Katoomba and convenient for shopping. Across the street, there was even a swimming pool for a refreshing dip. The house was well-maintained and had everything one could need. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a few days and nights recently in the front cottage and it was lovely.
Very comfortable, warm and so close to all the attractions we wished to visit.
Steve and Sharon are very communicative hosts and took the trouble to ensure we had everything in order during our stay. Accomodation is clean, comfortable, and cosy. We are happy to recommend this place for families with young children.

Easy check in. Very clean property with all amenities needed for a long stay. Very close to Katoomba main strip.
We loved our time here. Short walk to the Main Street. A good base if you’re in to hiking and seeing the surrounding areas. The cottage was perfect for us and our little pup. We had everything we needed, everything well taken care of and a lovely spot to relax after a day of exploring.

thanks Steve - our 4th or 5th visit to your cosy front cottage as we caught up with our family in Katoomba. Thanks for welcoming our little dog also - we enjoyed our walks around the gully - a great location and very reasonably priced - hope to be back in the winter sometime.
It is a great compact property in a great location. We will definitely come back and also recommend this property to our friends with fur babies. Thank you Stephen for a nice welcoming! We love the chocolates jar :)

We had such a wonderful stay! The cottage had everything we needed for our winter stay, plus so much more! The kids loved the electric blankets, the fireplace and NETFLIX! The location was perfect too. In walking distance to the main strip, but a nice quiet street. We enjoyed many of the beautiful walking tracks in the area too. Thank you so much Stephen, the kids are already asking to go back!

Second visit - will definitely be back!
Just returned from our second visit, we have now stayed in both the front and back cottages.
This was our first Winter visit and I am happy to report that even on the "coldest morning for 10 years", we were nice and snug. On both occasions we have found the accommodation clean, very presentable and well appointed and were extremley happy.
Coupled with the great location and value for money, Careel Cottages was a great find and Steve the Owner was very helpful to deal with - we will certainly be back for a 3rd visit!
Our stay at the front cottage was very comfortable and enjoyable. It’s cosy, with plenty of room in the bedrooms and bathroom. Light and bright, with super-comfortable beds and efficient heating. Steve was great to deal with and responded promptly to my enquiries. Everything we needed was there. Recommended
Host sent through all important information of the property weeks out from our check in date and assisted with providing places to eat out on Xmas day.
They were able to let me know that we could check in before 2pm.
Parking right outside the door - easy to unpack /pack the car.
Lovely cosy accommodation with all the comforts of home.
Great paths to walk the dog and there is a new aquatic centre at the end of the road.
Town centre and all attractions are within 5min drive.
Will definitely stay here again!

great location ,
It was ok, a bit grubby... parking was really hard. huge tree in drive way which we had to try to get around. back yard needed work, needed mowing and the view of the neighbours property was awful,
