I’m normally not one to complain, but this one disappointed us.
I cook for my family so we came with groceries & supplies in coolers for a long stay (over a week). When we arrived I went to put our food in the fridge/freezer but it smelled SO BAD. It was awful, like old dead fish awful. We were concerned the horrible smell would seep into our food.
I reached out to Vacasa, who had been texting me about my upcoming stay, but they are not the ones who are actually over the property… so I tracked down a different contact to get help. Not the easy communication I have had at other properties. When I finally got a text service- they told me I SHOULD SCRUB DOWN THE FRIDGE, walls, drawers & shelving to remove the smell, then leave the doors open to air it.
Guys, there are so many things wrong with that. 1) this is my family vacation. No, I am not scrubbing down your fridge on my vacation. 2) I paid a cleaning fee & so did the renters before me. What are we paying for if not to have someone clean the place?!! 3) It was so smelly! I really did not want to “air it out” into the rest of the condo. We have to sleep there. 4) They suggested I scrub it down with a product that was not provided- So… not only did they want me to deep clean, but they also want me to buy my own products???
Super disappointed.
Other than that glaring issue, the place was ok. The toaster is broken, the dishwasher is from the 80’s, but location is great. Love the pool/area.
