The cabin was great for what I was looking for. A secluded place but close to hiking trails.
It was very clean and comfortable was a very pleasant vacation.
While staying at this beautiful cabin we enjoyed panning for gold, picking apples, a winery and hiking to a waterfall. The comfortable cabin with all things streaming welcomed us home each night.
We stayed for three nights to celebrate my parents 44th wedding anniversary. This cabin was simply magical… From all of the little details like cotton quilts on the beds to luxury items like the amazing spa shower, the cabin is perfectly furnished to make you feel right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again soon!
Very good location if you want to be in the mountains. Make sure you bring enough food/supplies with you or else you will be traveling a little while to get it.
Our family stayed here four nights to just hang out in the cabin, hike the AT, and also visited many of the area towns. This cabin is a perfect location to disconnect for a few days or venture out if you wish. The pictures and descriptions are 100% accurate.
The cabin is in a small neighborhood away from everything and it was perfect for our two days of motorcycle riding in the north Georgia mountains. The cabin has everything needed to enjoy our stay just make sure you get what you want on your way because the nearest shop is 30 minutes away.
Very cozy. Loved the pond and feeding the fish. Only downside was nothing close as far as grocery stores or restaurants. Overall teally enjoyed pur stay.
This is a very nice cabin style retreat with all the modern amenities. The beds are comfortable and the location is excellent for visiting hiking trails, waterfalls, state parks and Dahlonega. This was our second stay at Kay's cabin and this time we brought some friends. We will come back again.
Our stay at Kay’s Cabin was wonderful. It was close to everything. We hiked to many waterfalls. The cabin was perfect. Beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. I hope we get to come back. I definitely recommend Kay’s Kabin if you want a great time.
We have enjoyed our stay here. Cabin is in a nice and welcoming neighborhood with a fair amount of privacy. Would definitely stay here again! We were here for daughter’s graduation and commissioning ceremony at UNG. Owner had restaurant recommendations and highlighted Wildcat BBQ. It was very good, thank you! Short scenic drive to Vogel State Park, very beautiful!
The cabin was perfect and had every amenity we needed! And the proximity to the trailhead was mind blowing. We hiked every morning and then simply walked back to the cabin. This was a very safe neighborhood tucked away up in unincorporated Suches and we will definitely be back next year!!
Cabin was awesome, simply beautiful and clean. Negative-not enough hot water to even complete bath or shower-problem for five guests. Other than that we loved our stay and will plan to come again.
Property was lovely. Very clean and quiet. Definitely would recommend to someone.
One suggestion would be blinds or coverings for the glass doors. At night you could see straight into the house through the doors.
Nicely appointed with all the needed appliances. The decorations were lovely. Furniture was comfortable. Very clean. Nice idea to have a fresh sponge at the sink. Beds were perfect. Attention to detail.
Check in was simple. Everything you need is at the cabin. We cooked every meal and made a fire in the fire pit.
The best part is that the cabin is steps to the Appalachian trail. Amazing hiking any direction ypu decide to go. Becareful of finding the trail back to the cabim if you go to woody gap. Its unmarked
This cabin was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, utensils and pizza / cookie sheets. The coffee pot uses regular grounds or k cups. There are a couple bullfrogs in the pond that sang us to sleep. Lol In just a short hike from the cabin you’re on the Appalachian Trail! 😁 My only complaint is the hot water. The tank isn’t large enough and half way through a shower it’s completely cold. Also there is no hot water at all in upstairs sink.
The cabin is very nice. Clean and has everything you would need to accommodate you on vacation. I would love to have a King bed in the upstairs loft area. But the Queen bed was OK. The floors are very clean and I love all the wood in the cabin. It’s very nicely decorated. We were able to have a fire outside in the fire ring and we enjoyed that. The drive to Dahlonega or Blue Ridge is about 45 minutes. But usually you only do that there for the day and back home that evening. It’s quite, but there are houses around you on the loop. We have stayed here twice. I recommend it. The kids loved it as well. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. The drive way is steep and two vehicles fit in without a problem.
We booked this property 3 months in advance, eagerly awaiting the day of our vacation. The drive was treacherous through Atlanta, but it always is. Upon arrival to the cabin we found a very clean and organized home. Everything we needed other than food was there and available for use. We had Wi-Fi, television, books and games to entertain us. We loved the location and the privacy. We made day trips to neighboring towns such as Blairsville, Blue ridge, and Helen. We had a great time at each location and enjoyed the great weather. Back at the cabin every night we were able to grill, or cook our own dinners without any difficulty. The loft upstairs was roomy and a favorite of the kids looking to get away from the adults. The living room had comfortable sofas and chairs enough for all of us. Every appliance that we needed was available. All in all a great trip.
