Overall a very nice stay. There were some small maintenance issues that existed. One of the bedroom door handles did not work from inside the room once door was closed. The dishwasher was not working. Front door keypad was inoperable (that was communicated prior to showing up so it was not a surprise). The front exterior steps could use either step lighting or painted so that they are easier to see in the dark.As I said however, we really did love the house and the property is beautiful! We would book this home again.

Host was very responsive and informative. Area is rural and very quiet. Beautiful areas with various wildlife to view. Property had everything we needed. Would stay again if in the area.

Overall we had a great stay. The house was plenty big for all of us. Our kids loved the access to the river behind the house. We had an issue with the lock and they responded quickly and fixed the issue.

Enjoyed the house - a large property in the country! Super relaxing watching the deer and turkey in the yard while sitting on the screened porch. Very quiet! Owners are super responsive and accommodating.

River Valley Country Escape

Pleasant getaway amongst hay fields with river access—we enjoyed the country feel—watching the deer—splashing in the river—and very close to hikes, historic sites, groceries, and places to eat. The kids loved exploring, playing foosball, and fording the river. The hay fields were cut while we were there. The scent of fresh cut hay brought back fond childhood memories. We enjoyed our stay!

Family vacation

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay by the river. The area is beautiful! Sadly it rained and flooded the river so we only got to enjoy swimming/fishing for 1 days, but we had lots of fun hiking the Shenedoah mountains and exploring the nearby areas. Our kids enjoyed fishing in the pond as well. Lots to do in the area with lots of delicious food and coffee options! We definitely recommend this place.

Spacious and beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay in this property. The children had fun exploring the pond and river. We enjoyed morning coffee in the sun room, listening to the birds and watching the deer graze in the field. You can enjoy a beautiful starry night sky away from the city lights. The owners were very attentive and very quickly responded to our requests.

Our Shenandoah getaway

Loved our stay and hikes in the local mountains. Highlight was roasting sausages and marshmallows for s'mores over a fire in the large fire ring along the river. Hosts were wonderful.

Beauty in the Shenandoah

We are a group of Civil War reenactors that were in town for the Battle of Cedar Creek reenactment. The house and property are beautiful and clean. There was a small issue with the electricity that was resolved quickly. Some of the outside lights (dusk/dawn light above main stairs) didn’t come on. Overall, we highly recommend this house and property. The gorgeous location and beautiful house make for a great getaway.

Great getaway!

This is a very nice house with a lot of space and privacy. It was peaceful drinking coffee on the back porch while watching the deer graze. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the area

Graduation visit

Fine stay. We werent there a great deal as we had graduation festivities to attend. I would suggest adding patio umbrellas on the back deck.

relaxing sibling weekend

was a sibling weekend for our youngest sisters 60th birthday and had perfect time. house is spacious and comfortable. property is awesome with great views. we spent a lot of time at the firepit enjoying great fall weather. deer were plentiful and on saturday when we came back up from the firepit 5 were within 10 yards from front door. great time and we will be back.

Nice overall. Could use some maintenance.

The property is out of the way and quiet. There is beautiful scenery and wildlife. Toilets and accent chairs are wobbly. Master shower hand shower attachment will not stay upright and front porch could use a good power wash. Second bathroom needs some caulking. Overall nice.

our fall golf getaway

The house was a perfect fit for our fall golf trip. Very clean and spacious and plenty of room for four guys. Nice quiet location and check in/check out was simple with no issues.

Great Stay

- [ ] It’s a beautiful and spacious house and we were pleased with everything. The porch wraps around the entire house, we loved that. The yard is huge and flat. It’s a great place for outdoor activities. You will need to bring games with you, the house does not provide any. There is a fire pit at the edge of the property, far back from the house. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your own folding chairs, none were available for our use. The bug‘s were a little crazy, so bug repellent was our good friend. It’s a nice place to fish, water is not deep and a good area to use waders or kayak. There were a few small issues, however, Tamara (the owner) was quick to respond. If you’re looking to get away, I highly recommend this home.

Fantastic Home!

Our family loved our stay at this location. The property is calming and very beautiful. The river is relaxing and perfect for playing. It was our favorite stop on a 3 week long vacation to the east coast. The host was kind and helpful. I the house was large, comfortable and well supplied (except with toilet paper.. so weird). One thing of advice..i know they're more bugs on the east coast than the west, but the wrap around porch couldn't be enjoyed because of all the spiders. Insect control is HUGELY needed here. I know it's the country, but wholely moley! If you do that and put in a hot tub, you'll have the perfect vacation destination.

Wonderful spacious home

Our family enjoyed our stay here. The home is really beautiful and nicely decorated. It’s spacious, clean and on a large plot of land. It’s great for a family where you can spread out and not get in each other’s way. There’s a wraparound deck you’ll love. The location is a bit remote, but not far from downtown Strasburg. Highly recommend this rental.
