「Great accommodations, super comfortable and intimate. We would stay here again. A couple ideas for the host to consider. Light string outside washed into the house, illuminating the inside, through the stained glass window. Inside the TV has a “night light” at the bottom that also lit up the room. A timer on the outside lights would help, if there is one couldn’t tell. Not sure what to do about the TV, electrical tape if you need it “blackout” dark in the room to sleep. No storage for clothing;...

「When we arrived, we found mouse droppings on the bed, in the bathroom & dining room area. We had to wash the bedding and clean up. (So much for the cleaning fee, they charge!) Very disappointed in what our once favorite place to stay, has become. The past 2 times we've stayed, we've been dissatisfied with the cleanliness, which we brought to Gaustehaus Schmidt's attention. Decided to try again. Strike three, they're out. We'll have to search for another place, next time.」
