We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been. The rooms were warm and clean, and had been newly decorated, the bedding was clean and crisp. The breakfast was adequate, all self serve, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, packet meats and pastries. "Lovely place. My 70th birthday with my family including children & babies. It was perfect for everyone. Nice area, muddy walk into the woods. 5 minutes into Morpeth which was looking lovely with Christmas lights"

"The room was ok but the heating was obviously controlled by the staff as the room was cold in the evening and morning. However it was ok and just a bed as a stopover for the night. It was very inexpensive too."

"Great place to stay. In a great location for walking holiday and visiting local attractions. Place was kept in excellent condition. Lovely views of the hills and to watch the sun go down on a night. Nice bottle of wine left by the hosts for your arrival. Left to you own devices by the owners unless you had a problem. Would definitely stay again. "
