The cottage was perfect! Had everything we needed for our trip. Fully stocked, spacious, beautiful, quiet and in a close proximity to everything in St. Simon. Will definitely be back again to this place.

The host was quite accommodating. The property was so clean and well stocked. (Except all hand soaps containers were empty. Oops!) Parking is minimal for a house that holds over 6 people. Luckily, that was not an issue for us!

The house is truly wonderful. The decorations and furniture comfortable and also beautiful. The covered back porch and fire pit in the backyard made relaxation time very nice indeed. The house is centrally located providing a nice walk to the pier and also other areas we wanted to visit. Christan went above and beyond to describe to me ahead of our visit the contents of the very well stocked kitchen so I would know what I needed to bring to make our Thanksgiving dinner (which was basically just the food since the kitchen is so well equipped!) Also, this may be a weird thing to comment on, but we appreciated the fact that there were plenty of towels - It was really nice to have as many bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths as we needed during our stay!

The house was spotless and smelled so clean. My daughter LOVED the bunk room. Master bed was super comfy too. We loved the area, the neighbors were extremely friendly and we even had a little kitty welcome us and try to come inside it was such a comfortable stay and we hope to come back again one day!

Clean, Comfortable, Exceptional

We will be back! My partner and 3 kids had an excellent stay for 5 days in Aug. 2025. The home was impeccably clean which is always number one on my list. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the ice machine made plentiful ice for our hot, hot week. The beds were comfortable and the primary bedroom, bathroom, and walk in closet is huge!The attention to detail - bright and plentiful lighting, cards and other games, and comfy outside furniture -- was exceptional. The included beach towels were much appreciated and saved us packing space! Close to the beach, restaurants, Neptune pool -- We rented a golf cart and easily and quickly navigated around town.Thanks for the stay and the memories we were able to make.

Great property for family trip!

This is a beautiful home! Clean and fresh! The house has several different areas for family and friends to enjoy their time visiting. Every amenity just as described. The host was informative and easy to communicate with before, during and our stay. Close to all the fun! We’ll definitely stay again!

Incredible stay at The Contentment Cottage! House was so spacious, clean and a 2 min drive from SSI village. Our first time on the island and looking forward to our next time to stay here again! Christian was so easy to communicate with and made reservation process seamless.

The cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. Took my family of four (ages 1-9) and it was very family friendly. No stairs to fight with, toys and books for kids on site. Big open space and nice backyard for kids to play. A great central location to enjoy SSI, nice neighborhood to take a walk in. The owner was gracious and checked on us before and after check in. Very easy to communicate with and extra helpful. We will stay again.

First time for everything

My wife and I have been come down here with our own families for over 20 years and we met and got married and this is our first time in SSI with each other and our soon to be daughter. This house was very accommodating to us and our friends/family. Christian was great and we can’t wait to be back next year with a new addition!

Perfect 20th Anniversary Trip

Planned a long weekend getaway for the hubby and kids to celebrate the end-of-school, Memorial Day, and our 20th wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated, and convenient to everything we wanted to do this weekend. Overall, it was perfect! Thank you so much for a wonderful mini-vacation!!

Winter getaway

This cottage is a very attractive and comfortably clean place to stay. It has very recent renovations which make the house appear brand new. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen was very nice but the “blender” is a hand held mixer which didn’t work for us. There were no sauce pans but only sauté/frying pans and a large soup pot or maybe lobster pot.Toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen trash liners were in short supply for our two week stay. My understanding for those things in the list of essentials/amenities means those things should be supplied for the entire stay . There was only one hair dryer and , perhaps, should be one for each of the two bathrooms. There should be more details on the use of the televisions especially if the guests are not familiar with ROKU or doesn’t have a pin# for accessing ROKU. None of these critiques are deal killers but would clarify what is listed in the essentials/amenities. All in all, we would stay here again, as I said before none of the issues would be a “deal breaker”!

Enjoyable stay…AGAIN!

2nd time we’ve stayed here and the quality of the home is top notch and has more accessories & amenities than you could ever need for your stay. Back porch is perfect for any time of day but especially the mornings and evenings. Location is beyond convenient.
