Owner Selling, Property Manager Dismissive

We checked in with a non-working fridge, leaking washer, dirty coffee maker, and dirt swept into a pile by door. Cabinets are in awful shape, pieces pulling off, lopsided doors.. Property Managers help was to send a tech who could not repair during our stay, and make a big deal about calling the texh even though, as property manager, that is your responsibility. How about taking care of the short term renters who put their faith in this being a decent place to stay sith working and clean appliances and cabinets. There was NO offer to make right or reimburse us for having to use a laundry mat.

This was a lovely place to stay. It was very clean.

We had a great time at the beach. This place was wonderful to stay at with my family. The place was clean and they had everything to make our week enjoyable. The beds were comfortable. This places is close to area attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view of Treasure Island Beach

This Sunset Vistas condo had a beautiful view of the beach. It was clean and had all of the kitchen amenities we were looking for. The condo itself could use a few updates. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets were peeling but the tub/shower and kitchen countertops seemed up to date. The pillows were very flat where we had to sleep on two of them to get a good night's rest. The bedrooms were very small, with not much room to keep luggage or a lot of dresser space to unpack clothes. The condo did have several beach items for anyone traveling with kids or needing a cooler to take on the beach. Sandy Beach Vacation Rentals did connect with us ahead of time to find out when we expect to arrive and also communicated an issue with the toilet so we were aware before we arrived. Check in and check out was easy, especially since the unit included a list of reminders of what needed to be done prior to checkout. The people that worked at the beach bar were very friendly as were the cafe staff. I wished we would've found the cafe earlier in our trip. I would recommend this unit for anyone wanting a beach view condo, and a place to stay for 4 people.

Great location with nice amenities

The condo was very clean and description on website was accurate. The location and condition of condo was exceptional and enjoyed our stay. Hope to return next year to the same unit. Treasure Island is a great place to vacation!

Great views and convenient location!

We had the best vacation staying at this place! It was close to everything and the beach was nice and quiet! We also enjoyed the pools and hot tubs and the sunsets everyday from our balcony were amazing! The condo was clean, updated and well equipped with everything you need. We would definitely stay here again!

Beachfront family vacation

Sunset Vistas was a great vacation! Condo had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Great for a family with teens and younger kids. The beachfront location was perfect, beautiful view - spent part of the day on the beach and then headed to the pool. The pool bar was fun for the adults and the Cafe was easy for a delicious sandwich! The location in Treasure Island was convenient to do activities in Tampa (the Zoo, Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay Rays baseball game) or a drive up or down the gulf coast to explore (Tarpon Springs).

Nice accommodations

My family stayed here for 2 nights and we loved it! The only complaint we had was the door handle to the balcony was broken so the door was hard to open and close. The beds were very comfortable and it was very clean and updated. We loved the pool and the tiki bar and of course the beach was beautiful.

Awesome Time

We had a great time at Sunset Vistas. The condos are clean and comfortable. Condo pool, bar, gym and little restaurant were great and convenient. We regularly saw staff cleaning and disinfecting. The property location could not have been any better. The condo is just 2 buildings away, a very short walk, to the Treasure Island Beachwalk, a 0.8 miles paved walkway to restaurants, Publix and other condos / activities. We were able to walk to Caddy’s, Sloppy Joe, VIP Mexican and John’s Pass, to mention a few. We will stay here again.

Just ok but great location

I usually book a major chain hotel that is very close to this property. This was a friends trip so we wanted access to a beach bar that the other hotel does not have. The beach bar had very limited hours which was a big disappointment. There were only 3 tiny beach towels in the unit so we had to buy more. This unit and all of Sunset Vistas definitely needs some updates. The beach and location is perfect but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Very friendly

We had a very nice time here in spite of the red tide. Ew.. did it stink. Wish we had known such a thing existed but the facility was clean, the beds very comfortable and the view of the ocean and sunset was nice. I like not having to keep up with a room key. I did have trouble with the pad initially but that was my issue- when I called they very patiently explained it to me and even came by to check on me. I would definitely stay again - just hope there is no more red tide next time.

Overpriced and in poor condition

Condo was overpriced due to being in poor condition. Looked like no updates have been done for years but they charge a premium price. Old, dingy, and falling apart. Very disappointed. Definitely didn't get our moneys worth. We felt cheated.

Overall good experience BUT…

I would like to start by saying the condo and property were overall nice. It was a short walk to the beach and on a few days we even decided to hang out at the pool which was always packed (one issue with this was people would walk down and put beach towels on chairs to reserve them at 8 a.m. even though they weren’t going to be there until noon, so good luck getting a lounge chair). The condo did have three beach chairs, an umbrella and a few toys for the kids to play with at the beach, which was nice. The condo was decently furnished and had the basic necessities for cooking meals in the kitchen which we like to do about half of the time on vacations. We would have liked to have had some Tupperware to store left overs in, sharp knives and even a set of scissors… We did have some issues though while we were staying at this property… First off I would like to preface that we contacted the property managers and asked if everything was in order after the hurricane and we were still ok to stay at the property. We received a reply that everything was in order and our stay was on schedule as planned. The day we arrived we received a text from the property managers that the owners we going to be receiving a delivery and we did not need to be there. We didn’t like other people being in the condo with all our possessions without us being there but it wasn’t enough to complain. When we got back to the condo, a new set of washer/dryer were installed. Great news right? Well we already had clothes in the washer so we were uncomfortable with strangers handling our underwear and sorts when a little simple communication would have allowed us to remove our own clothes for them to install the set. The biggest issue was the washer and dryer were not actually hooked up. The property manager said they needed to rewire or add an outlet and an electrician would come and wire the new washer/dryer in the next day or two. So we were going to have another random person in our condo…. GREAT. To top it off we were given a laundry mat’s address a mile and a half away as our alternative. One reason we stay in a condo as to a hotel is so we have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer to do laundry while we are on vacation so we don’t have to pack as much since the airlines are getting ridiculous with their lack of weight on checked items. Day 2,3,4,5 and 6 all passed and we never had a functioning washer and dryer and nothing excuses and no results.

5-Star Views, Great Stay — But Parking Needs ImprovementOverall, we had an excellent stay! The condo was clean, the views were beautiful, and the location is absolutely fabulous—right on the beach with easy access to both the ocean and the pool. Communication leading up to our trip was top-notch, which made the check-in process smooth and stress-free.The only issue we encountered during our 7-day stay was the parking situation, which was honestly a mess. Vehicles were parked along the sides and front of the building, making it hard to navigate. I saw several guests struggling to back out, and we heard multiple people mention their reserved spots were taken—including ours.One afternoon, after returning from the grocery store, we found someone in our reserved space. We went to the front office, and they said they would “try” to find the owner and told us to “just park out front.” We did exactly that—and received a parking violation because the area wasn’t part of Sunset Vista property.We spoke with the property manager, who basically said there was nothing they could do since we parked in the wrong spot—even though we followed the staff’s directions. It was frustrating and could’ve easily been avoided.Suggestion: Have guests provide license plate numbers at check-in so it’s easy to identify and contact those parked in the wrong spot. A quick phone call could save everyone a lot of aggravation.Despite that issue, we really did enjoy our time here and would return.

The unit was disgusting. Everything from dirty, to rusty appliances/shower rods, entire shower liner was mold ridden, rotting door jam, and if that all wasn’t enough, bloodied bedding linen. STAY AWAY from this unit and establishment. I couldn’t get any assistance from the manager the day we arrived until 11:00pm at night when she finally responded to my calls, and told me it was too late to contact the owner. I demanded a full refund and wanted to leave then, and she said she couldn’t authorize it. She said she would bring me a new mattress pad and shower liner THE NEXT MORNING. When I asked what I was to do until then, sleep in my car?, she responded by saying just take the bloodied linen off the bed! I have full documentation of the place in picture form, and filed a police report to have that on record if I did not receive a full refund. I can’t stress enough, don’t stay here. Horrible unit and a horrible start to what was supposed to be a relaxing time away.
