This place was great! For years we typically stayed on Treasure Island. We thought we would give Madeira Beach a try. We were pleasantly surprised. At Treasure Island you often times have to walk two hundred yards to get to the beach. Sounds like no big deal, but if you are like me (a.k.a., the family Sherpa- carrying loads of stuff) it helps to be right on the beach. My 81 year old mother could throw a softball off the balcony and hit the water.
Beach is great. Not crowded at all.
Condo impressions
- very spacious and clean.
- Kitchen is well stocked with pretty much everything you need to cook.
- Laundry in unit is huge (We should have packed way less).
- There were TVs in all rooms. We could connect to our YoutubeTV, Netflix, Amazon prime on the smart TVs
- Internet connection worked fine
Proximity to local restaurants /bars/stores
There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance and John's Pass is about a mile away (jet ski rentals, charter boats, bike rentals, shops, bars, restaurants). The bonus is Caddy's restaurant/beach bar, that is right next door. This was great to grab a mixed drink and walk to the beach (maybe 50 feet away). Grocery/shopping stores are all close by as well.
We had a few small things we needed help on and the iTrip folks were very responsive (literally replied in a few minutes via text).
The only two small things that were annoying
1) the key you needed to get into the pool and beach. It was a physical key you need to get in both ways. Again, carrying a bunch of things it was not helpful to have to put a key in the fence lock.
2) Elevator code- the code to get the elevator to come down was odd. While it was part of the instructions, I forgot that when I was coming in for the first time. During our stay, we saw other new arrivals having the same issue. Not a big deal on either issue (thought I would leave feedback for the building Mgt/HOA).
End of the day, I would highly recommend this place. I would definitely come back to this place again.
