"This hotel certainly gets a WHOW upon arrival you have your named parking space. A lovely friendly greeting, along with tea and cake in the Snug. We were shown our room with explanations of how breakfast worked. Our room was spotless, bed was so comfortable. We had already booked dinner at The White Tails Restaurant which is within the hotel. Dinner was excellent locally sourced produce used throughout. Ramsay provided very attentive service. Thoroughly recommended."

"I arrived Sunday late afternoon & met a friend, we explored the property and found it just as advertised. We also found an unexpected bottle of wine and two packs of biscuits plus a vase of flowers. Other friends arrived on the Monday. There were six of us staying one was ill, the bed allocation was fine for 6/7 single men, the kitchen was well kitted out for all manner of meals. All of us agreed that it was a first class holiday let.There was one breakage, a heavy glass fell against the teapot while in the drying rack and broke the handle."

"Welcoming reception staff, and engaging staff with adults and children. Able to borrow many child related items from reception, lots of high quality kid related activities, whether that be the playground, cinema room, den, swimming pool or book reading corners. Food good, could have a bit more choice for breakfast and dinner. Overall a fantastic place to stay with young children and parents wanting respite. Also Peppa Pig World and Beaulieu motor museum a short drive away !"

"Good mid week break. The bungalow has everything you need if you plan to cook. The level of cleaning was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. The signal in the area is not great but the WiFi is great and meant we could make calls. The garden is in the middle of a renovation but the owner made us aware of this before our arrival and there is an undercover area so you can sit out whatever the weather. The owner Simon was great and communication was excellent. Great location and happy to recommend."

"Title: Lovely Hotel, but Overpriced Entry-Level Room We stayed at the Balmer Lawn Hotel for a work event. The hotel public areas are beautiful, the food was good, and providing a breakfast sausage for our dog was a really sweet touch. However, £177 felt steep for a budget room with a view of a brick wall (you'd have to stand on one leg and hang out the window to see the New Forest!). A £30 nightly dog fee also felt excessive. We didn't get to use the spa, but overall it’s a nice venue—just disappointing on room value and pet charges."

"I have to say, this was a perfect stay. Single traveller. From arrival to departure, the staff and service were faultless The cabines are super. The attention to detail very good indeed. Coffee and tea making facilities with sealed bottles of milk and water. Complimentary flapjacks... Large TV, controllable heat and a cooling fan. A window near the bed for those warm nights. Full USB sockets integrated to wall plugs next to the bed as well as a sidelight. Curtains for blackout. A seating area. Plenty of drawers for clothing. Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer etc. All very well presented. Thoughtful layout throughout the property. The main building is very nice indeed with plenty of books and comfy sofas. An abundance of parking and outside seating. I didn't have time to assess the food but I suspect it will meet or exceed expectations. You won't be disappointed."
