「I booked single rooms for me and my grandson. I am 81 years old and I was given a room with no en suite. To use the toilet I had to leave my room, go down about five steps, then few steps along corridor, then up two steps to a bathroom. I would not be able to do this in the night. Same for a shower, would have to take clothes etc. Toiletries in bathroom empty. My grandson’s room had no kettle. Lack of electric sockets in both rooms which smelt distinctly musty. 「The first impression was good on entering the hotel. The lift however is insufficient in size especially with many guests as was case when I stayed. This caused problems at breakfast time. The single room was smaller than expected. Reception staff V Good. Limited seating in comfortable Piano Bar area. There were 2 coach trips in every day of my stay. Ideal position for Public transport.」

「ホテルの方は大変いい方ばかりです。設備面はエレベータがないことと、トイレやシャワーが室内にないのは不便です。特に鍵を持ってトイレに行くのは清潔感はあるのですが、煩わしいです。あと食事時間、日曜の夜は終了時間が早すぎます。 シャワーの操作盤が高いところにありすぎます。もっと位置を変えないと操作が大変です。室内の棚やシャワー室のタオル掛けなどきちんと止まっていないために物がずり落ちたりします。」

「Excellent stay quality of bed, bedding, bathroom, location and staff first class. Great breakfast choice and well cooked. Rooms were spotless. 2 TVs, one in lounge and second in bedroom. View across the bay was beautiful. All good.」

「We had a side sea view room, clean and well maintained. Great room. Breakfasts good with top class ingredients. We ate once for the evening meal. The food was pricey and quality was poor. Overall a really good hotel with great staff and exceptionally clean.」

「This place has an excellent location, the staff are very obliging. The whole place needs a facelift. Sheets that don’t fit the bed correctly causing it to be off the mattress in one side, the bathroom door needed new screws on the top hinge, we had to lift it to close it, the curtains were not connected at the top right hand side, this was a shame as this let the place down.」

「I liked the old fashioned nature of the hotel. I had the impression that the charming lift hadn't changed since the 1920s. It was a change to have breakfast served by waiters from a menu instead of self service from a buffet but I like both kinds of service. The hotel is situated at the north end of the mile and half promenade so wasn't exactly convenient for the town centre but the bus transport was very regular which made up for it.
