St. Dunstan-in-the-West

Perfect location to Abba Arena, 15 min walk away. The breakfast was perfect, so much choice. Our room was snug but have everything you need. The staff are 10 out of 10, can't do enough for you. Stratford, Bus, Train and Underground station are approx 8 min walk away as is The Westfield shopping centre. Not the most bustling high street but for communiting into London sightseeing it's a perfect location.

Room was clean and bathroom and shower was great. Reason for it not being five star was there was a tap in the bathroom which was loose, there was no coffee in the room and also there weren’t many hangers.

Room was not ready for my 3pm check in time. Credit card pre-authorisation was done by QR card which flagged as fraud at my bank. When this was pointed out to a staff member she magically produced a card reader she had previously claimed they did not have. Curtains in room left gaps at either side of window letting streetlight and then daylight into the room making it difficult to stay asleep. Staff claimed that you needed your room key to enter the hotel after 10pm but that was not the case - door is right opposite the main staircase so anybody can walk in off the street and have access to the entire hotel. Photos really oversell the place - actually quite shabby IRL and the decor is all over the place. Some of the figurines on display on the ground floor are borderline racist. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
