「Quaint pub with beautiful rooms in a quiet part of Port Isaac. Loved the room and the comfy beds and pillows. Possibly the most comfortable bed Iv ever slept in. The room was clean and fresh and beautiful bathroom. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

「I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast.
The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again.
Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm.」

「I wanted to check in fast and visit an important attraction before they closed. The reception lady indicated that by law she had to check us in right away and show us the room. I asked if I could leave my bags in the lobby and check in after and she said, "If I did that she could not grantee she could check us in." because she would be too busy. I was thinking that she had no choice in the matter to do so and if I had arrived at 8pm she would have to check me in if she liked it or not. ??」

I was looking for somewhere with a bit of character, that was away from all the noise and bustle, had a good breakfast to set us up for the day and food available in the evening. I was not disappointed. The Weary Friar was such a great little find, a proper country pub with great food (nothing too fancy), friendly staff and peace and quiet to wake up to.
