"Excellent location and we used a local pub the Cheshire Cat, which was superb. The only issues we had were that it is described as having a walk in shower, but it is over the bath. My wife is disabled, so this was an issue. The sofas are very very low, and difficult to get up from, and we could not find the WiFi information anywhere. As it was a short break, we decided to just use data. Overall it is a good base to visit Chester."

"Easy keypad check in. Nicely decorated. Good kitchen facilities. 2 en suite bedrooms, separate bathroom and additional separate downstairs toilet. Good location for Storyhouse, Market and city centre bars and restaurants. Very poor soundproofing. Road traffic noise loud from bedrooms. Would recommend ear plugs. "Our third stay at abode Chester and have to say there was a change in the quality of service from the reception staff and the breakfast staff from our previous last two stays! As we have done before once settled in room called reception and asked for some ice to be sent up to the room, but this time we were told we had to call the bar on level 5. Day one breakfast was excellent. The second day was not good at all. The waitress delivered the drinks with no milk and by the time we got it the drinks were cold. The food order was wrong asked for no mushroom and fried egg cooked on both sides. Came with mushroom and egg was snotty.the breakfast was returned and even after requesting no mushroom for the second time it returned with the mushroom. She also slammed everything down on the table! It was as if she did not want to be there and her top had a big stain down it. The bar staff were excellent. We eat out both nights on our return the receptionist had her head in her hands as if she was asleep! Been a big change in staff not good. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. It was refreshing staying in an independently run hotel as we often stay at chain hotels. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming- nothing was too much trouble. The room was nice and the breakfast was really good. The pool and spa facilities were a really nice feature. The only niggle was that there was no air conditioning in the room. It was so warm, despite having a desk top fan, that we found it difficult to sleep. Overall, a great hotel at a reasonable price."

"This was the perfect location for us to stay to be able to visit Cheshire Oaks, Chester Zoo and Chester, just 10mins drive from each. I avoided hotels in Chester due to lack of easy parking options but this one was great. Really nice rooms, clean and modern with lots of amenities. Breakfast was good, plenty of hot and continental choices. We loved the warm cookie at check in too - a nice touch! Staff were all very nice and friendly."
