"So this is a tough review because I did not do my homework and didn’t realize where I was going. These are homes and maybe an old church converted to hotel rooms with the idea of being used for retreats, such as a marriage retreat. So pros: spectacular, hiking, extremely pleasant staff, very clean and a five star breakfast! Cons: this is not a hotel, so there are not amenities in the road, such as refrigerators or televisions. Overall, totally worth it! The castle is spectacular. "

"Truly this vacation home was perfection for our 4-night stay in the area. I give it a rave review! It’s a lovely home and spacious. We found it clean and in perfect working order. The first evening there were a few deer outside the back fence, just fun to see for all ages and especially us city dwellers. As advertised it is located a short walk from an entrance to Garden of the Gods - the location was superb for the activities we wanted to do. Another feature I liked was ample drawer storage in each bedroom. Well done Garden of the Gods Retreat, you get A from us. "

"This hotel was terrible It the front desk staff was completely ignorant and argumentative as well as inefficient they do not accommodate they also will not address any issues. I got to the hotel and during my check-in they informed me of the $100 incidental which I paid and then went to my room and found a big saggy leak in the paint that could have popped it any minute. The toilet hardly flushed. The room wasn't very clean I went and informed the staff of the cover over the smoke detector as well as the leak in the wall and they said that they would address it but never did. I arrived on Friday night and went to breakfast on Saturday morninh and it was the weakest, sorriest breakfast I've ever seen, especially for a La Quinta which are typically nice hotels for budget friendly stay. They ran out of waffle batter when I got to the front of the line which was three people deep and when I asked the staff to get some more he grunted went and made some more came back with it set it down on the counter and it proceeded to start flowing out of the container and all over the counter. When I informed the staff member of it he just said yeah it does that and walked off. He didn't clean it up, didn't do anything so I left it alone. The coffee creamer that they put out for the coffee was spoiled and chunky and there was no ice machine. When I asked about the ice machines they told me that they Don't work because the homeless people around the hotel take all of the ice which there were "

" Terrible hotel elevator hasn’t worked for over a month dog poop in the hallways. You have to walk up four flights of stairs to gets to your room every day. randoms will walk up and talk to you In Parking lot & they are predatory when it comes to parking, they will tow your car or guest."

"The worst VRBO I have stayed at. Worn out home with all kinds of issues. No privacy at all. Neighbors surround the outdoor hot tub area. House had cigarettes and bottle caps everywhere. Terrible beds and furniture. Broken bathtub, countertops,doors and blinds. Dirty hot tub I cleaned to be able to use. The owner is the worst. He charged me an additional 400 for an old cracked TV in a room we never used! Crooked owner and terrible house. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!"
