The lock on the room was not there, the safety one that's usable once you are in for the night. The hotel was maintained for it's age. The area is safe. Colorado Springs has alot of homeless. This area was good.

I have no problem with the motel room itself, aside from the fact that the room did not include a functioning refrigerator. But that wasn’t going to be a problem as long as there was an ice machine that could keep my food cold. The ice machine in the lobby was also broken. So, every day for five days I had to drive to the local gas station and purchase ice. The staff at the front desk were kind and accommodating. Considering the price of the room, it’s a reasonable value… But you could do better.

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the room provided was not in good condition. There was a crusty white substance on one bed blanket and a crusty washcloth shoved into the corner near the bed. Only one of the 3 standard locks on the door was in working condition. Whoever painted in there must not understand what the objective was as it was poorly painted to the point of making the walls look worse. The floor of the shower needed a really good scrubbing which I understand is difficult but not impossible to do. The room rate was half of any others in the area, but definitely not impressed with the cleanliness. Desk staff at check-in was good though.

I like that motel 6 is pet friendly. However, I was put in a room that had been smoked in. There was clearly a no smoking sign on the door. We had to spray the room just to make it halfway doable. Then night two we had to get the office person to redo our "keys". It seemed to be a rundown facility. Definitely needs to be updated. Will not be staying there ever again.

This motel is not recommended to family stay especially if you have toddler or child. First the entire environment is dirty (cigarettes butts and trash everywhere) and second, the most concerning or bothering me is the people hanging around there to make me doesn’t feel safe. The bedsheet has dirty spots and hair to make me wonder if they ever washed and changed it. The bathroom is ok but stained as expected. The only good thing pet is free to stay.

There had been a room fire before we arrived and the windows were all boarded up on one side of the motel. Ice machine was broken. There was coffee thermoses in the for morning complimentary coffee but the lobby doors were always locked. There was no mini fridge, coffee maker, or microwave in our room. When we requested to exchange our dirty towels for clean ones we were met with reluctant disdain. Overall one of the worst stays ever. You cannot even see mountains from anywhere on property. The local smoking hangout was right outside our door and it was loud. Don’t stay here.
